Review - Titanium Jetfire 6-Inch Figure

Recommended Posts

Bah.If you need to dismantle it to transform it, it's no better than BTR.That's why the G1 jets sucked. So far Titanium has been a mixed blessing at best...even if the line improves,it'll be hard to live down Megatron.

It's not that bad. You take off the backpack, flip over the wings and place it back turned the other way.

IMHO, this is the worst Titanium figure in the whole line. The "jet" mode is cluttered with kibbles, and the robot looks like those same kibbles are glue gunned on. The whole toy looks gimpy.

It's disappointing seeing how Figueroa's Macromaster "Strikefire" was a far superior toy than Titanium Jetfire.

Don Figueroa must think this is realy cool. His design for War Within Jetfire was almost an exact copy of a mech he designed for his fanmade Macro Master TF comic. In fact, he had even made a toy for that design. So seeing something you made just for fun effectivly beeing mass produced, that must be a big ego boost.

You know that is a cool point!

I mean even though that I or anyone else can see the flaws in the toy, it exciting for an artist to see his creation whether done w/ justice or not, dons creation is out there for his fans as well as himself to enjoy regardless of the exicution.

Maybe hasbro will do a better job down the line, but for now I guess if you really appreciate dons design and artistry then this is as good as it gets. I can't say I'm a fan but there are many WWI fans out there.

Hats off to Don Figueroa...I happy to see that he and his fans can actually have them in their position.

Having some pieces that might need removed is not so bad... and calling it a lego is not very nice or accurate.

That being said - T!T megs nearly made me give up TF collecting all together.... so the new T!Ts have a lot to make up for if they want my business again.....

Ah Fuxors - who am i kidding - if i ever see JetFire or ThunderCracker in stores i am gonn buy it.....

:redface

i found 'em both at target yesterday, and yeah, there was no fighting the temptation.

i really like the jetfire. jetfire was one of my favorite toys as a kid and now as an adult collector i feel he has completely gotten the shaft until now. this toy has so many little G1 toy homages and is fairly comic accurate (the autobot symbol is actually on the wrong side of the chest, and no flip faceplate) and i love this guy.

his backpack doesn't really bother me, i'm just happy to have him. his two rubber guns suck, though.

anyway, thundercracker i'm a little less sold on. his transformation is almost exactly the same as cybertron starscream, and his arms are actually a little more limited than C screamer's as far as articulation (not by much, though). the weirdest thing about him is his rubber gummy-head. seriously, you'll see. all in all, he's worth picking up, but jetfire and prime are by far the best "T!T's" so far. (snicker)

I've heard that Jetfire's left hand has a way of getting stuck when transformed and needs to be pried back out with a foreign object like a knife or screwdriver. Just something to watch out for.

Meh. I think I'll patiently wait for Classics Jetfire instead.

At least there the paint won't break, and chip away if you accidentally drop it.

I noticed this when I went to put hand in then I quickly decide against it. Leaving it out doesn't hurt it.

As for the ger-walk it can be done minus the arms. Turn thighs 180 and the legs 180 and it works just don't look at him from the side cause it looks weird.
