  1. Why is the box art for Trailcutter purple? Both the comic art and the figure ae black. Emerje
  2. Actually it says "Existing tooling with new character DECO" not design. Means all of these figures, like Twinstrike, will be sold at retail in different colors, but it's the Target exclusive that will be in G1 colors. But now that Cyberverse Commanders run around $10.50 at Walmart I can't forgive it at the price. Emerje
  3. Looking at the truck mode it seems like you can make a mini "white Prime" out of the truck cab. Emerje
  4. Whoa, I thought he was around Voyager scale. Figure is huge, $135 sounds like a much better deal now compared to third party figures half its size going for $100. Emerje
  5. Cyberverse Commanders are now nearly $11 at Walmart, I can't get excited about these. I struggled with paying $8 for TF3 Powerglide and Hatchet, $11 is just out of the question. Maybe if they were as well made as Scout figures, but they're made way too cheap for that kind of money. Emerje
  6. There's your RTS Optimus Prime repaint for Botcon 2013. Emerje
  7. I think the red and white head and guns are supposed to be candy cane colored for people who did the BBTS and TFSource special pre-orders for Toys for Tots/Salvation Army. There was no mention of it being an exclusive, but it's the only thing that makes sense. Emerje
  8. Wow, how badly did they screw up the game for it to go from an MMORPG to something similar to the online mode of Fall of Cybertron? I'm no fan of shooters so my interest in this went from around a 7 to a 0. It would be like taking Street Fighter and downgrading it from a fighting game to a game where you destroy cars. Taking an MMORPG and stripping it of everything but it's PvP component is just insane. Hasbro made a huge mistake letting Jagex handle this. Emerje
  9. Now that we can see the silhouettes it doesn't seem like they're really hinting at any possible figures aside from maybe RtS G2 Prime for MW Prime. Soundwave, Starscream, and Megatron are all in their MW forms, not updated. Galvatron is just G1 Galvatron, not even Generations Galvatron. I think it was done just to show that the MW characters aren't on a side, we probably shouldn't read too much into it. Emerje
  10. Don't get too excited. My understanding is that Hasbro made these for the Asian market so it makes sense that they wouldn't be prone to US safety standards. Long missiles are still a safety requirement in the US. The short stacks are another story, TRU MP Optimus has long stacks. Emerje
  11. Don't forget, this is about likeness, not scale. I'm sure they'll use the Thunderwing mold again with a new head and chest for Starscream. If they're really basing this on the Machine Wars likenesses then Megatron will probably be the Seeker Jet mold. Optimus will probably be the lone Voyager (being the only Autobot mentioned), likely a repaint of Classics Optimus. If not then Soundwave could be the Cybertron Defense Scattorshot mold since it was reused Universe twice and for Flak for Botcon 2009. If they did go with CD Red Alert for Soundwave it won't be part of the box. Galvatron might just be a repaint of Universe Galvatron, hard to say since he wasn't originally part of MW. Emerje
  12. Of course they're bigger, the height has been known for a while. The GT figs are 22cm/8.66" tall with an MSRP of 10,000jpy/$122.60. The original Alternity figures were 18cm/7.09" tall with an MSRP of 4,500yen/$55.17. The GT line is the same size as Binaltech/Alternators, but cost twice as much. Emerje
  13. Meh. Toy companies have been blaming technology and video games for 15 years now, it's an easy excuse, but nothing more than a theory. You don't see them bragging about how they overcame video games when profits are up. The economy is a little easier to swallow, but still an easy excuse. Last I checked the economy was looking better (not great, just better) than it was a few years ago and I'm pretty sure Hasbro has had some good years since 2008 so that isn't holding much water. But something every toy company has done this year is let the prices climb. Sad thing is Hasbro doesn't even seem to know they're doing it! MSRP on a deluxe figure is supposed to be $14.99, but you'd be hard pressed to find a store selling them that "low". And this is the third straight year of price jumps, they've gone up twice this year alone. And just to add insult to injury they make the figures smaller, too. Gee, I wonder why nobody is buying. I was fed up enough to import all of the Japanese Generations figures mostly because I'm so annoyed by Hasbro, but also because they look a hell of a lot better. Emerje
  14. That was the first and only thing that came to mind when I saw that one. People are seriously over thinking this. Emerje
  15. eHobby price - 13,900JPY or about $178 TFCC price - $195 Only a $17 difference. The aftermarket markup from stores ordering from eHobby will be greater than for those ordering from TFCC since they'll have to ship in bulk from Japan plus make a profit. Unlike other TFCC exclusives you don't need a membership to get the lowest price, it's smart to just buy directly. Emerje
  16. The people trying to make a profit off the Hasbro version on eBay do. ;) I've got two of the Hasbro version (got to love those Target exclusive clearances!) so I don't need this, but if it causes the City Commander armor to go back into production I'm all for that! Emerje
  17. Anyone know what a typical deluxe case ships for from BBTS or EE? This is extremely tempting. Emerje
  18. They only do that when they can't reproduce the decals. Devastator had sticker sheets, Soundblaster and Twincast had their stickers pre-applied. There's only been a few cases where they chose paint over stickers. If this is really a Takara release then it's possible there'll be a less complex packaged version sold in Japan. When Takara releases MP figures in Asia they come with special packaging bonuses and coins that the Japanese retail versions don't have. I can only assume all the chrome is there so they fit in with all the bootleg Transformers. Emerje
  19. The new Soundwave/Soundblaster mold is a lot smaller than I had thought, but he'll look good with the other figures and it'll be worth it for the "tapes". Emerje
  20. Good price on Bruticus. $20 a figure is only $5 or so more than the FoC deluxe MSRP which is a good deal for a convention exclusive (around $75 to complete the retail version). It'll probably sell out before I can get one, but I'm going to give it a shot! Emerje
  21. More like a cross between Optimus Prime and Marissa Faireborn. Guess all that kissing during Kiss Players went somewhere. ;) Emerje
  22. At least they're giving us the Asia exclusive versions of Motormaster and Thundercracker with the new weapons and not just cheaping out on us, that's something. On the other hand I don't collect Legends/Cyberverse so that doesn't mean much to me. Too bad they couldn't give us some of the Asia exclusive deluxe offerings, don't really need a blue Optimus Prime and ugly Jazz repaint. Could have at least given us different characters using those molds like Stepper/Ricochet and something really outside of the box like Guiltor. Emerje
  23. Nice to see Shattered Glass Soundwave is in the game. No, seriously, why is Soundwave mostly white now? I'll probably get the PC version since I got the PC version of War for Cybertron. Emerje
