"Scramble City" Leaders Onslaught, Motormaster, and Silverbolt all had spring launching gimmicks in their "base" modes that were available in Japan and Asia, but were disabled outside of that market.

really? I have two Silverbolts that are spring loaded, does this make them worth more? :schin

Do you have any pictures?

Well I had some up in end cap awhile ago, I'm gonna possibly trade him (superion) today towards a G1 Omega Supreme.

Another well known fact I want to post.

Quickswitch is sixshot's son. This is only mentioned in the commercial for his toy.

Also, Combining seems to be the most used Transformers gimmick.

Transforming is the most used Transformers gimmick. There was an entire line of Transformers that didn't transform (Actionmasters) and Duocons (which were puzzle pieces more than anything.)

On the topic of Duocons, there were plans to make two-robot gestalts in the G1 line. But unlike G1 Duocons, Landcross, or Energon/Superlink 2 robot combinations, the combination was to be form straight down the middle.

Question for the crowd:

Is RiD Prime (Firetruck) in scale to anything?

RiD cars?

Alts?

Question for the crowd:

Alts?

I'd say he's roughly on scale with the car brothers (Sideburn, X-Brawn, Red alert) since they all are to scale with Ultra Magnus.

Yes, he's on scale with the Autobot brothers, Magnus, and Megatron.

To the best of my knowlegde, Grand Maximus is the TF with the single most gimmicks.

We was a double headmaster, triple changer and a pretender with a partner which combined from loose parts.

What TF can top this one?

Transforming is the most used Transformers gimmick.

You beat me to the punch! :D

Accents which are rare amongst Transformers:

+ "Harvard Lockjaw" American English; Tracks is the only one that speaks this

+ Russian-accented American English; Cosmos is the only one that speaks this

+ "Upper-Class Massachussetts American English"; Beast Wars Megatron - at least, that's what it sounds to me. Similar to the kind of American English that Stewie Griffin from The Family Guy and that Niles and Frasier Crane speak on Frasier. It's certainly not any kind of British English.

+ Working Class New York American English; Rattrap is the only Transformer that speaks this.

+ Australian English; the only TF that speaks it is Outback - although it is clearly an American actor trying to sound Australian, the accent is unmistakenly supposed to be Australian.

+ Cockney English: Obsidian is the only Transformer to speak this

+ Kansai-ben Japanese; afaik the only TFs that speak it are Diver from BWII and Gusshar from Car Robot.

+ Ye Olde Feudal Japanese; The first was Sixshot from The Headmasters. The other is Tigatron. There might be a few other TFs that speak this language (not any others I can recall atm), but there wouldn't be many, as this is an extinct dialect of Japanese (much like Old and Middle English).

Fictional accents include:

+ Death's Head speech: it was peculiar, yes?

+ Dinobotese: Grimlock spoke this. In the cartoon, all the Dinobots spoke like this - based on stereotypical cartoon caveman 'tard speech which is littered with grammatical errors.

other tf's with english sounding voices were... the combatacons at times. preceptor and Redalert from cybertron. jet fire from cybertron was clealy from down under and cybertron TC id say was a texen

takara did use the idea of left and right combining but not in transformers they were in GaoGaiGar and thier were 6 in the show but only 4 got toys. they were EnRyu (fire dragon) a red fire truck then HyoRyu (ice dragon) a blue crain who became ChoRyuJin and were known as the rescue team an other team was the build team RaiRyu (lightning dragon) a yellow dump truck and FuuRyu (wind dragon) who was a Green cement mixer and together they formed GekiRyuJin. also those 2 teams could swap members making GenRyuJin (from HyoRyu and RaiRyu) and GouRyuJin (from FuuRyu and EnRyu). lastly thier was the Attack team AnRyu(dark(?) dragon) a black missile truck and KouRyu (light(?) dragon) a truck with a radar/lazer connon and together they formed TenRyuJin now what made them special was they they were female and so could not combine with the male looking bots. and incase you wonderd they viewed the build team and rescue team as older brothers
