Having read the script I have to say that although there are some plot holes in there (Bumblebee's injured voice box that ratchet can't fix, Skorponok disapeering after being injured in the desert) and too much product placement,(you have commercials for EBAY, Starbucks, APPLE, Microsoft, American Express, inside an hour and a half commercial for toys, GM and MILITARY Recruitment!) it feels like its going to be a fun summer movie. Mind you I said a fun "Summer" movie and not a fun Transformers movie. I mean it might be a fun film but i can see alot of fans turned off by the changes they make. I could care less becuase when it all boils down to it its live action Transformers on the big screen! I just want people to remember that this film is not aimed at us fans but at the masses who don't know the difference between an Autobot and a Decepticon.

I found it to be a quick and enjoyable read and although they do take liberties with some of the characters I think they did a good job with it overall. I hope they did a few more revisions being that the script is dated Feb. of this year, i would like to see more of Starscreams interactions with Megatron. Also would like to see more of what caused the "Energon Cube" to be hurled into space.

Part of me wished they called "Sector Seven" GI JOE instead...Would love to see one of the soldiers named Duke or something as a nod to the history of the closeness of both Hasbro franchises. I felt the movie borrowed a little too much from other films too. ID4, AVP, and even The Lost World:Jurassic Park. wish there was a scene after Megatron is lowered into the abyss that showed he still functioned.....(perhaps hidden scene after the credits roll?) Can't wait till next summer, Spidey 3 will definitly own next year, but i am looking forward to seeing these characters come to life. Even if it means seeing an XBOX sprout legs and go crazy.

as for BB's voice box i think it's something like our own bodies, we have doctors but they can't fix everything. you just gotta think of transformers in that light. also, sector 7 took scorponok's body with them, they later examine a leg.

the movie is deffinatly going to change, just based on what we've heard, i.e. megatron will insult SS at least once, SS is very underhanded toward megs, ect... so this isn't the final, but i hafta say that i hope the final sticks close to this script as i found it very enjoyable. although i agree with your statement about the movie, it will be a great movie, might not feel like TF to me, but i'll more than likely realy enjoy it.

*sigh* Why must everyone act like it's not going to be a Transformers movie? That's ridiculous. It's called "Transformers". The rights were given by Hasbro who owns "Transformers". The characters are called 'Autobots' and 'Decepticons". If you don't want to claim it, that's on you, but this is most definitely the first Transformers live action movie.

to be honest i thought it was excellent, i ended up being half an hour picking up my wife just to finish reading it. she really wasnt happy. but read it when she ( eventually :P )got home and loved it as well. and after reading it the designs for megs etc. just seem to fit so much better. can honestly say its upped my interest and enthusiasm for the movie ten-fold.

Late to the party as usual.

I know it's not the final piece, but from what I read...I like it so far.

It's definitely a Bay film...could use a little more fleshing out of the TFs themselves, but seems like it'll be good.

Seems to match quite a bit of what's been leaked (picture wise).

Bumblebee is adorable, and he's gonna Powerglidein' rock.

adorable and Powerglidein' rock don't seem to go together.

I can see how that description would apply to Bumblebee though.

The more and more I think about the script....I just hope they rethought the entire Megatron screentime issue. I'd like him to have a tad more screen time.

=\

I. am. speechless.

Please use "spoiler" tags for err... spoilers! :thumb

Looks like they went with the majority of the script. I'd like to see what changes took place though.
