I'm not into nitpicking Blot, but being lazy just so you can have a character to spew out commercial plugs is plain retarded.

 

 

That screenwriter needs to either grow a set of balls and object to rewriting a character for that reason, or go ask for the other half of his brain back.

 

Well, they were at war. Maybe he didn't have the resources to fix Bumblebee's voice processor. Since he doesn't have a lab with parts or anything, he's probably nothing more than a field medic at the moment, doing what he can with the very limited supplies he has on hand.

My only complaint is that the US Military are the Heroes of the movie, NOT the Autobots. The Autobots overall don't do jack crap in this movie to be the "good guys". It's all the Military who are the true heroes.

The purpose of the first movie is to introduce the general audience to the concept of Transformers. If the movie does well enough to spawn sequals, the autobots will probably be given a bigger role once the general audience gets used to the idea of them being the heros.

alrighty, so i just finished the script and lemme say, i think the movie will be pretty good. i can't say at this point in time exactly how much the fanboy part of me will effect my like/dislike of the film. while the bot designs do not feel like transformers (and one bot in particular is certainly too stupid for a transformer) the scripters deffinatly captured the characters... well for the most part. i beleive the script was written BEFORE kennywave was announced and so i think the frenzy (soundwave in the script) will most certainly be changed, or at least will not be so Powerglideing lame. also from what we've heard from the scripters themselves we should see at least a little more of the relationship between megatron and starscream. you can deffinatly tell this script was revised after Lebouf was cast as spike errrr excuse me sam seems to be scripted perfectly for him.

 

Don has said that the trailer footage will not appear in the film, but unless the part of the script where Sector 7 reveals the footage to the HOD is changed, once again he lied (at least i think it was don, if not correct me please). i'd like to know how they'd pull off making the HOD beleive in the transformers without that scene. this also reveals the shadowed bot as being Blackout.

 

one thing i didn't like is the suseptablility of the transformers to sevre heat, and i would say cold but if the north pole froze megs than yea... i don't think they needed all the cryo stuff. it feels too much like war of the worlds to me, but they needed someway of making the humans able to defeat the decepticons, regardless of how lazy :-P.

 

i do think they'll change the energon cube to the matrix, theres alot of hinting toward that outcome. there are too many similarities there to say otherwise. although it would be quite small seeing as how spike errr sam (sorry, it's the fanboy in me) tucks it in his arms like a football only to later use it in a very hot rod-ish manor to vanquish megatron... and yea thats just wrong.

 

as far as sequals go i don't think they left the end open enough there should be at least a cut to megatron's eye spark back to life at the bottom of the ocean before cutting to credits, the whole thing about the energon cube exploding inside of him could be written off as overloading his current self causing systems shut down and then when he comes to BAM he's galvatron (yea i know, it's cheap but isn't that what's happened with galvy since g1?).

 

the action... OMG it's everything you ever wanted from the franchise. the battle between OP and megs needs to be ALOT more titanic and over the top. the fight for all of two seconds o_O. other than that i could realy find any negatives.... oh yea i forgot about kenn.... err frenzy :ugh:

 

i'm absolutly bannana's over megatron's character. his complete apathy as he rips jazz's spark from his chest and consumes it, his total nihlistic outlook. he's the end all be all of villiany. i can only imagine what's going to become of him in the second film because honestly he just can't get anymore evil than he already is.

 

strait up, i hate being a douche, and i REALY hope my judgment isn't clouded by the bot forms, but when i read the script it was through g1 blinders. it's not that i chose to persay, but it's just the feeling i got, i just can't see those things as transformers. so yea, the movie is certainly going to be awsome to say the least, i just wish they'd given the bots a more transformers feel, but it's not my movie. before this i'd decided to download the movie and then, if it was good, go see it in theater's if i got around to it. i'm deffinatly going to see this flick in the theaters now. will i download it first? i dunno i honestly can't say. i gotta wait and let this soak in a bit first, and though i don't wanna admit it, i'm begrudgingly leaning towards seeing it in the theaters. not enough to regret reading the script, and not enough to even attempt opening week, but deffinatly enough to make it my first viewing.

 

that being said, i've been a little excited about the film again. nowhere near what i was pre-bot revealing, but realy eager to see it.

suprised i didn't mention it, but i'd like to know why they changed ratchet's alt mode from ambulance to whatever it is now (i'm guessing the hummer looking thing) and i can't beleive they got an exotic car manufacturer's support (other than saleen that is). the way the script is worded i though at first they said enzo then saw the d and just now realized they meant endoskeleton

I can't help but be, I was wanting the Autobots to walk away at the end, having saved the Military soldiers and Sam & his girl. But really the Military take out almost all the 'Cons for the Autobots and Megatron is brought down by Sam/Spike. It just seems so, meh to me.

In all honesty, I've always said the best way to incorporate human characters into a tf series is to make the autobots an underclass that is persecuted and enslaved by the decepticons. then, a group of autobot rebels flee Cybertron and arrive on Earth where the humans teach them how to fight against the decepticons.
