Why do the Autobots "fly" in the first few episodes of G1 and then later forget how?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering cause somebody brought it up on Gamefaqs.com.

I own all of G1 on DVD, and can't recall them ever explaining that bit.

When a Decepticon, say, Soundwave, kicks an Autobot, they go flying. They can only fly in this manner.

Pretend the first season never happened. This solves much of continuity.

But that means no lamppost Soundwave :tfsad

:lol I did that so many times......

seriously though, you don't want to go watching G1 looking for continuity explanations. It'll give you seizures.

although I always thought it was a bit of a cheat that any of the Transformers could fly w/o the aid of... something to fly with

Kind of how Thor has to throw his hammer, and is basically dragged behind it.

That Soundwave had to be put in that position and then have the pic taken as quickly as possible, because that bit o G1 right thurr is a rag doll and a half.

Its all Superboy-Prime's fault, with his "reality-punches" :P
