OK so let's recap what we know so far:

1.  The site pretty much crashed, likely due in large part to the hard-core Star Wars folks trying to get exclusives like the 501st Stormtrooper.  They prolly outnumber us by a frightening margin.  Hasbro, having had the wisdom to put out several much-sought-after exclusives on the same day, was completely incapable of handling the massed amount of traffic.

2.  For those of us with quick-dialing fingers and a bit of luck to get certain CS reps, orders were "placed" and credit card info taken for those orders, with the promise of a confirmation email once the order was fully input into the system.

3.  Many were turned away from the phone by bitchy CS reps saying "No Orders For You, Sweaty Fanboy".

4.  Soon no orders were being taken by phone AT ALL, likely because they had too many and didn't know if there would even be anything to sell at that point.

5.  NP was apparently in huge demand at SDCC, selling out quickly.  Speculation is that Hasbro may have considered siphoning off some of those set aside for HTS and replenishing the SDCC supply, making things even worse for the website buyers.

6.  Things still aren't fully up to speed, and whether there are any NPs to sell or not Hasbro has altered the site to say "No Way Joe", perhaps in an attempt to ease the traffic and bring everything back up.

7.  There are apparently reps now saying those of us who ordered early by phone will NOT have our orders completed, even though we're actually the only ones who likely could order at all.  Maybe a few very lucky net orders went through but I doubt it.  Whether this new information is meant to throw us off, keep us away from the phones, or absolutely true, remains to be seen.

8.  With this debacle, Hasbro Headquarters has put themselves solidly in the running to be the new Capitol of Dumfukistan.

Anything else I've missed?

Must be a new record time for 400 posts!!!  Holy crap did Hasbro piss some people off.  I think it's funny that they won't let the guy in  honk kong sell them on ebay but they can't even sell them themselves.  What a bunch of fvcktards.  At least they had time to f-up that guys business.

can they realy do that though?  i mean if he's a partner, yea sure they could cut him off, but what actions could they realy take, esp if he's just selling what he picked up from the market?

I doubt this is the reason (unless they're offering mail-in rainchecks or something similar), there simply isn't time to ship them.

Still, for possibly the first time ever, fan complaints about Hasbro are completely justified.

That's cost prohibitive for something they're going to offer for only $25.

Besides they would have to be dug out of whatever warehouse in whihc they're currently sitting.
