But i'm waiting on Hasbro, if they release the mold, as importing is too pricey for me.

you can point out flaws all you want and i agree they have gone for a better jet mode. but its Takara Tomy who design it so if they say its master peace its master peace

I could glue giltter to some pens and sell them as sticks of ultimate happiness to justify the price but it doesn't change the fact that they are pens and not sticks of ultimate happiness.

 

Of course some people would say that I called them that so they MUST be that and will pay because of that.

I'm not one of those people.

I haven't preordered yet but I am going to, I can't wait till we get a pic of the finalized product.  I do hope though, that the waist kibble is interchangeable and can go back on the legs, truth be told it didnt bother me at all, the only problem I had was how his fins on his feet were sticking out like they were spurs on cowboy boots, I'd much rather they take a page from the Classics line and have the fins fold up somewhat so as to not be extremely noticeable from the Bot themselves.  Also, he still looks like he's wearing heels, the original starscream actually had it down right I believe. 

:redface Hes still got a crappy chest canopy on him..... I really hope that they change that or that its just a mis transformation, cause that ruins it in my book. People want so bad to have both jet and bot modes to look perfect, and that simply will not happen with this, theres just to much kibble from the jet. Now, for the legs, I would have liked it if they have kept the kibble on the calves and the remolded feet, making the vertical fins turn on a 90 degree angle, then the horisontal(? spelling) folded upwards parallel to the verticals. It would look kinda Blitzwingish, but I think that it would work well. As for the arms, I would keep the new molding on them, but put all the kibble onto the back sides of the panels, that way Screamer still retains the cartoony look of his arms, but gains the reality in jet mode. :wtf  Am I looking into this to much?

If this is the final version (per say) is there any reason why the arm panels cant be attached to the back of his armsand when you transform him and just turn them inward, having the back of the arms facing the sides vs the way its presently???

 

I goes the only REAL way to tell is once someone (who doesnt like the panels) gets him and tries to 'bash him..

that flaw is the Alt line is all about taking the G1 guys and giving them bodys based on new cars. Star Scream is still G1 based and isnt a car thus not an alt and since takara tomy are footing the bill to design it thay can call it what they want

 

as for that 2nd point MP screamer (going by past drawings and photos) has more hatches details and other gizmos the MP1 has and the amount of material used is about the same given his wing span and lanth in jet mode

I know someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but to the best of my recollection, the original purpose of tha Alt line was not car specififc.

 

Fans had wanted more articulate, more detailed robots with realistic Alt modes and that is what the Alts were originally about.

It wasn't just a car line.

I'm going to agree about this being more like an Alt than an MP. To me an Alt is more about their style than their detail. Alts have perfected vehicle modes primary to a secondary robot mode. Starscream follows this with a robot mode that is secondary to it's perfect jet mode. It doesn't really matter if it has more moving parts, at that price you expect that, otherwise it does follow the Alternators formula, it just happens to be in the form of a real-world jet instead of a real-world car. Alternatively to be a "Masterpiece" (IMO) the vehicle mode should be secondary to the robot mode. No, Optimus wasn't 100% accurate, but in order for it to still be able to transform it can't be; in the end it seemed popular enough that a lot of artists modeled their Primes on that figure. When I think of Masterpiece I think of their most iconic vehicle mode, not their most iconic vehicle mode, and you can't have both. Also, I feel the original mold that we saw looked more like the Dreamwave ark that GUIGUI posted than the new one. Again, just my opinion.

 

And like I said before, if they're showing this updated mold now it's probably their last revision before going to the factory. For this guy to come out in only a few months he should be in production right now.
