alt sideswipes interior is fine, i just didnt like his weapon, Energon hotshot has a bigger gun than that little pistol, i will either sell him or return him as he's pretty much MIB now

 

repainting the alts as 'cons i dont like, i didnt get smokescrean as im waitin for the silverstreak repaint

 

the reissues ive seen at my local TRU are stacked sky high of grapple and 2 others, ive never seen anyone buy them, id only buy a reissue of the combiners or the dinobots

there are things that Hasbro CAN controll....quality issues ala blobs of paint for Autobot smbols on the decepticon and autobot symbols, crazy colors for toys...non show accurate toys...and such and such..........Red Thrust packaging....blue Thrust.....Tidal Wave......laziness for box art packages......

For all of those complacent fans saying "oh poor Hasbro" listen up!

Hasbro can do more, they can do better, and make even make more more money.

Look at this so called Hasbro bashing forum is a great way Hasbro can learn about what they can do to improve.

A suggestion box is not enough. In this forum people can really express their gripes.

Maybe that is not the original intent of this forum but when I first signed onto it thats what I was expecting to read: gripes, suggestions, much needed changes, that sort of thing.

 

My first post ( as brutal as is it sounds ) gets to the point. My point behind it is this:

If a company does all that is possible to please their customers they will make huge profits. If they do it Micky Mouse they won't make as much.

I hear where you're coming from skullfire, it's just that Trypticon's post was the 1st post in this thread to bring up some valid complaints about things they do have a lot of control over.

 

We all have an amazing power over companies. It's called money. Don't like a certain product? Don't buy it. Voice your opinion in a polite way or send an email with constructive criticism.

 

Hypothetically, let's say Alternators does poorly. Hasbro reads the boards and sees the fandom is sick of cars and wants jets. Then we'll probably end up getting just that.

 

I don't regard it as being "complacent". I regard it as being realistic.

Voicing ones opinion is never a bad thing, if you don’t point out something u don’t like then the likelihood that the problem will be solved is greatly diminished. I think the reel problem is the manner in which some fans choose to argue their point, in which they become oh so very childish, with name calling and what have you…its actual very embarrassing to read some of these rants from some transfans and then call your self a transfans too. :redface

I'm gonna break out the hatoraid, just in case I get accussed of being in one camp or the other. :) I've got all 3 consoles and whoo boy, you should hear the crappy Nintendo vs Microsoft vs Sony fanboy-isms fly.

 

My gripes at both Hasbro and Takara:

 

Armada "one working pair" syndrome. Demolishor and SupahPants Prime's missiles, Starcreams's uni-sword.

 

Energon "visible noggin" syndrome. Though I have toned my stance on this cause the toon is so damn good. I loves mah goofy Ironhide.

 

Energon Jetfire's head is on a tab that won't sit flush with his body. Somewhat due to activating his sound gimmick.

 

And lastly, compromising a toy with needless electronics (to me, I'm well aware the tykes dig it :)). Takara's even gutting the electronics from Superlink. Which is a bit pointless without lowering the cost to the consumer.

 

I only have a problem with lights and sounds when the compartment needed for the soundbox, batteries, gizmo, whatever, takes up a big chunk of the toy.

Good more, suggestions to Hasbro please.

Repaint that G1 Silverstreak reissue! You may as well soak us for another $29.99 while you can!

If they're going to charge people an arm and a leg for a seeker, they should do it right instead of cutting corners.

The last time I checked their not putting guns to anyones heads to make them buy these "arm and leg" costing seekers or any other G1 reissue for that matter. The long and the short of it is any company is going to try and sell their products and services for the most amount of money they think they can, I can’t hate on Hasbro for doing just that.

So what? I can't have an opinion about anything unless someone's pointing a gun to my head? :roll

 

My argument is that for a toyline aimed at the older crowd with nostalgic motives for purchasing a figure, they should keep their demographic target in mind. With Thundercracker and Skywarp they could of released them with normal missiles sans springs, but they didn't.

 

If you're going to charge $45 for a seeker, better do it right. Wouldn't you be pissed off if you bought a toothbrush and found out the bristles were already frayed because they wanted to keep the costs down? Or if you bought a hamburger and half the bun was an english muffin because they wanted to keep the costs down?

 

Or would you have no right to complain since no one "has a gun to your head"?
