looks dumb with the grill folded up like that. Just keep the hood the way it was in truck mode and it looks better than any other way.

Looks dumb for you but this toy is mine and looks great for me this way.

Hi everyone. Just got my alt Prime and I was looking into making it so that his shoulders would rotate forward like a lot of people are doing.

Am I right in that you unscrew the red should bit from the blue plastic piece at his shoulder and then shave the blue down a little, and then screw the red back on?

Sorry I don't have a camera, but could maybe one of you who has done it before posts some step by step pics.

Thanks

You actually dont have to cut anything. Just loosen the screw enough to pull the fender/shoulder piece far enough out to be able to rotate. Then when you TF it back to truck mode, just rotate it back and push it back in. It'll stay in place just fine. I cut one shoulder on mine then realized this and didnt bother cutting the other shoulder. It's actually more stable that way when in truck mode.

i just pulled the legs on mine andloosened the screws that allow the shoulders to flip down. and i also loosened the screw that atatches the bumper allowing it to swing.

i hate the floppiness of the knees

That's exactly what I just did. :thumb

I came up with a different variation though. I loosened off the screws, & swung the fenders back so there upsidedown, & then open the doors to give Prime wings. The bumper I simply swung backwards so then nudge up against the fender facing forward. Now it looks like Prime has freaking wings, & shoulder mounted jets or something. Anyway a deffinite improvement IMO.

Also the mold has some nice touches to it with some of the painting, the head sculpt is great, and aside from the seats on the forearm & floppy legs & recent mod not really all that bad, :thumb

yeah, it does look dumb. looks like he has beer belly and need to run on the treadmill. also, by having to remove the front bumper and attaching it into another place, you've made him into a part-former, and who wants that, really.
