Tripredacus, I am falling upon many regrets. We inform you that the killer of pals is concurring correctly. In Rising Sun Land, the English language ways is for usage in fun times. It is excited to make such fun times super power. The nature's meaning for words is not cared about from citizens. Make your time. We set up the bomb. All your Engrish are belong to us.

Takara and Hasbro worked together on Cybertron/GF but when it came time for a new cartoon, Takara went with a new production agency(Gonzo?) and the company didnt want to do a continuation so they got a self-contained show but Hasbro still wanted it to be part of the "Unicron trilogy" thats why there is so many problems with continuity. So blame the cartoon makers for the third part not fitting in with the first two parts. At least the black hole makes sense in Cyb. Where did it come from in GF?

no, blame hasbro because they pulled the whole "let's make them a trilogy" out of their ass just because americans like trilogy's for some Powerglideed up reason.  thus far i have YET to like an american transformers outside of g1, most of everything that comes from america is rubbish (obviously there are acceptions), at least television wise, and we can't seem to make a movie worth a damn that isn't a blatent ripoff or remake.  i hate to say it but america has realy lost it's knack for anything original and it's sad, and i'm positive i remember hearing the black hole explained in gf i just can't remember the story right now.  "jetfire went to some planet at the end of the universe and thats why he sounds like the Powerglideing crocodile hunter" what a load of bullBlot, Powerglide, thats an insult to our children's mental capacity right there.  if galaxy force is what we get when takara calls shots, i say let 'em rule the roost for a while, hell, one outa three isn't bad, let's see how the fourth turns out.  neither hasbro nor takara are perfect, but damn... hasbro realy dropped the ball with cybertron imho.  some of the us exclusive toys are Powerglideing awsome, downshift is one of my fav tf's of all time, now if they can just match that with what they're showing on television... i just remembered something, when did they start advertising the toys again?  i don't think i've seen a commercial for a tf toy sense g2... eh maybe my mind's slipping, just kinda gave me a nostalgic feel when i saw the commercial with downshift.  another thing... why havn't we gotten any muscle car alternators??!!??!!  that'd kick ass.  maybe if tak realy does drop the bt line we just might see some alts with american flavor.

If Hasbro wanted Cybertron to be part of the Unicron trilogy, then they should've done something about whilst GF was in pre-production. It seems to me that they let Takara and Studio Gonzo do their own thing, and then later try to retcon Galaxy Force into fitting in with Armadaverse... with expectedly dismal results. It just seems like laziness on Hasbro's part.

If they wanted to have more control in the input of the show, they should have acted sooner. Hasbro obviously had more control in G1, with the script being written by Marvel (Sunbow) writers, but that was because this was all planned in pre-production.

thus far i have YET to like an american transformers outside of g1

That's not hard considering that G1 has been the only Transformers story ever written in the U.S. :P  Oh, and G2.

Seriously, storywise the Americans have only produced:

- G1 Marvel USA

- G1 Sunbow

- G2 Marvel USA (co-produced with staff from Marvel UK)... um, why don't you like this?

- G2 Sunbow (yeah... teh suck)

Everything else has been written in Japan (G1 Toei, Terebi Magazine, Aeon, Gallop, Actus, Gonzo), the United Kingdom (Marvel UK) and Canada (Mainframe Entertainment).

Takara wanted GF to be part of the trilogy too. It was Gonzo who didn't want to do a continuation of Energon

and you my friend have never watched Arrested Development. It was a well written and acted american show

And such language from america's youth these days. Maybe thats why you don't enjoy anything since the american tv shows can't match your excellent vocabulary, or lack there of.

PWN'D!  :tflaugh

I made a thread about his on the allspark a while back.  I listed a boatload of things that were out of whack with Cybertron as a part of A-E

I get much more enjoyment when I consider it as it's own story..though I have been thinking of how to rewrite it into energon

however, I think that the majority of the fandom wants to forget about the energon show so lets not worry about that XD

unless takara and hasbro are total idiots, the animation company can't make un-authorized changes to the show.

i hate sitcoms and most of them = Blot

blah blah blah, if you don't like it then don't read my posts, i'm not the whiney little Starscream curtailing my vocabulary just because some weak minded baboon thinks a word/s are "improper, naughty, and impolite".  so called "cursing" doesn't express one's lack of intelligence, rather, it shows one's unwillingness to be controled by another's beleif.  this is one MAJOR problem with america, instead of taking responsiblity to avoid what we would deam undesirable content, we leave it up to a federal communications commitee to not only raise our children and say what we can and cannot see/hear, but we also give them the ability to fine us ludicrous amounts of money when we use our right's to make ourselves happy.  all that because some person is too lazy to change the radio station or television channel....  enjoy your heavily censored american television because it won't be long until we strip that right from ourselves as well.

It depends on the context in which the swearing is used. If a person simply swears at you to an overt point where they don't seem to be making any valid point, then yes, it does demonstrate a lack of intelligence (as they are using the swearing to cover up their inability to construct a legimate rebuttal). Also if swearing is used in making a personal attack - but then again, making a personal attack without swearing is equally lame - always attack the argument, not the arguer.

A few years ago, then opposition leader Mark Latham once addressed our Prime Minister as an "arse-licker" - referring to the Howard government's allegiance with the "Coalition of the Willing" along with Bush and Blair. He called our PM "arse-licker" during Parliamentary Question Time, broadcast live on national television.

What to do?

On one hand, Latham was RIGHT! John Howard is an arse-licking lap dog of the U.S. President! On the other hand, he made his argument by swearing at the PM. In the end, he was overruled and condemned by government and media, and later publically withdrew that statement. It also helped damage his reputation as he lost the last Federal election against Howard in a landslide defeat (70%:30%).

As for censorship, there is the counter-argument of Cartharsis -- look at Japanese animé aired during prime time... it still has more violence and swearing used that would garner an MA15+ rating here. Yet Japan has very low incidences of violent crime and is the second safest country in the world to live in (behind only Singapore, which has the lowest crime -- then again, they hang you if you have drugs and cane you for vandalism).

well, obviously if your coming back at somebody and keep personaly attacking them, even without swearing, it's just elementry.  :-P

i just spent the last 5 minutes typing a post about the adverse reactions to media as a whole, but i realy don't wanna go off topic that much and get a good thread locked :-P  however, where does one go here to debate, or does the forum not exist?

Dreadrock is just another example of engrish... Dreadlock is the actual name, same thing with Rumble (my biggest problem with takara).  i'm suprised they didn't put Conboy instead of "Convoy, but they've had practice with that one

[/superassholishfanboymode]

Ppl like engrish, I guess...?

The truth is, y'all should stop comparing Galaxy Force with Cybertron, because they're not supposed to be the same show at all. They simply have the same animation.

What I don't like about the truckload of inconsistancies is that Override is male but has a female voice and is referred to as if he were female. Not only is that the BIGGEST inconsistancy IMO, it's downright disturbing. The concept is much easier to swallow  on Override's packaging & planet map art, when he IS actually female.
