cybertron contiuty questioned

Dreadrock is just another example of engrish... Dreadlock is the actual name, same thing with Rumble (my biggest problem with takara).  i'm suprised they didn't put Conboy instead of "Convoy, but they've had practice with that one

Ppl like engrish, I guess...?

The truth is, y'all should stop comparing Galaxy Force with Cybertron, because they're not supposed to be the same show at all. They simply have the same animation.

What I don't like about the truckload of inconsistancies is that Override is male but has a female voice and is referred to as if he were female. Not only is that the BIGGEST inconsistancy IMO, it's downright disturbing. The concept is much easier to swallow  on Override's packaging & planet map art, when he IS actually female.

yanno, when i got my overide i didn't look at the packaging, but i just saw overide gts @ walmart today and noticed they they gave him a complete fem makeover on the packaging but the figures still look male imo.

The figures ARE male. It's not arguable, even though some idiots think it is. I mean you don't need to see his robo-Night Viper to be for sure he's a guy, and having a feminine voice don't matter.

I could tolerate Cybertron if it wasn't for that. At least they animated Airazor as a female in BW(who was a male in Japan). She rocked too.

meh, i watched galaxy force so nitro convoy had a male voice :-P

i just fail to see how hasbro looked at nitro convoy and said "thats gotta be a chick!"

Acourding to the TFCC comic the Grand Black Hole is responcible for all the continuity errors, and Cybertron takes place after the Energon Comic not the cartoon.

Yeah, Override is a bit disturbing to me too. Really makes me wonder why the gender change, it just doesn't make any sense at all to me.

Impossible.

I haven't made too far into the Energon comics, but weren't several cities attacked by Terrorcons? And didn't Optimus decide to reveal their presence to the populace? In Cybertron, the humans aren't even aware of the existance of the Transformers.

Besides, wasn't it mentioned by either Ramjet or Vector Prime that Primus's attempt to burn Unicron in a new sun had failed and several planets have paid the price? Wouldn't that tie Cybertron (aswell as Balancing Act and Revelations) to the Armada-Energon animated continuity?

Care to elaborate how then it occurs in the DW's Energon storyline? Because this is the first time I've ever heard of it occuring in the comic continuity instead of the animated one.

regardless of what hoops hasbro jumps through, to me, cybertron and energon/armada are two seperate universe's and are in no way related.

Well, Vector Prime did say that as a result of the Unicron Singularity's effects on the fabric of space and time throughout the entire multiverse, the Transformers may be experiencing memory problems, Downshift recalling events that happened in another timeline may have been an extension of this. Cartoon Downshift and comic Downshift would presumably still have the same spark, just in different time lines.

Anyway, linking the Cybertron cartoon series to the DW Armada-Energon comic series is down right absurd. It would cause far more continuity problems than tying it to the cartoon timeline (most of which btw, have now been dealt with). I mean, aren't the humans already aware of the Transformers in the DW timeline? From Megatron attacking a town with the Star Saber to lure out Optimus in Armada, to Autobots fighting Terrorcons in major cities like Tokyo, LA, and Moscow? And what about the Mini-Cons? In the DW comics don't they all speak normal english while in the Cybertron they all aside from Jolt speak in binary, just like the Armada and Energon cartoons?

And wasn't it also mentioned in the TFCC comic that the Unicron Singularity is from Primus's failed attempt to burn Unicron in the heart of a new sun?

Sorry, I just don't see it.

Cybertron is a sequel to Energon because Hasbro wanted it to be. Galaxy Force is yet another "reboot" of the continuity that happens to have elements that can be worked out to be a sequel, like having Cybertron being eaten by the black hole, to begin with.

If I were the guy making the decisions in Hasbro and in charge of the dub script, I would eliminate all the elements that can cause contradictions, like the Optimus/Leobraker scene.  :tfmad

Of course this is my opinion, for what it it worth so don't take it as cannonical. It's just me fooling myself to prevent my sanity.  :tftongue
