My vote goes for electronic sounds.  To me, sounds are completely useless.  Not only do they serve no purpose IMO, but a lot of times the toy design has to compensate for a speaker & battery compartment which in turn lead to bulky/clunky designs.

Lights on the other hand are very cool, a feature that isn't used *nearly* enough.

The Energon stars and Force Chip gimmicks are pretty weak. They were definitely inferior to the Mini-cons. Of course, Armada balanced it out with more than half of the toys itself being sucky so they balanced themselves out.

Some of the Mini-con gimmicks were crappy too. "Power punch" my ass. Ooohhh, look at me raise my hands with the power of Over-run!

other-Action Masters

The transformer that doesn't Transform. That is like selling Hot Wheelsâ„¢ cars without any wheels on them. The fact that it was decided to take what was unique and interesting about a toyline and remove it from the toy boggles my mind.

Other - Action Masters

(1) Transformers who don't transform. Teh ghey.

(2) They're not even terribly good action figures! Limited poseability... uh, what's the appeal for buying these toys??

(3) They came to dominate the 1990-1991 Hasbro lines.

...Action Master Elites weren't much better. Oh look! They transform... badly!

Transform and be mispelt, Omega Spreem!!

dear lord, tell me thats a knockoff and not a real tformer

Nope. That's Omega Spreem (and that is how they spelt it too, I'm not mispelling it!) - one of the Action Master Elites. Why where they "elite"? Because they could transform! Into really Blot alt modes!! Ph33r Th31R 1337 0\/\/n4G3!! (sic)

They were released in 1991.. the second last year of G1.

The other Action Master Elites were Turbomaster, Doublepunch and Windmill:

...even able to transform, Action Masters still suck! :D

recent lines i would have to say the sounds, unneccisary circuitry raising the price unnecisarrily is lame.

i don't really see why they need a gimmik. surely transforming in the first place is the gimmik. (smaller figures like the headmasters and targetmasters are cool though

to be soundwave's minions

Absolutely!!  Could not agree more!  I am also not a fan of Launching missles or Force keys (whatever they're called in GF/Cyb)
