I'd buy one.  For $200 a pop, I think one could work as a convention only exclusive.  Throw in some repainted minicons, and it'd be awesome.

I believe the supreme figures is about as big as Hasbro can make a TF due to the drop test issue nowadays..... even if parents would pop for a $100 TF

Considering their idea of supreme figure is that Cheetor they made, I'd pass...ugh.

Well Since Primus is gonna go for fifty, and Unicron went for the same I think.  I wouldn't mind 100 on a Fort max sized one with the same quality.

But yeah I don't see hasbro making it unless its an exclusive for a paticular store or a convention.  Though kids would surely want it, and collectors would buy it.  It would probably end up much like the original Fort Max where it didn't sell well in its original release because parents would prefer to get more for their money, and so buy five deluxe size for 50 and skip the huge, cool, but expensive single bot.

Cheetor was a "Supreme" but was really the $40 pricepoint, today's "Leader" class. "Supremes" are: Unicron, Black Unicron, Omega Supreme, Omega Sentinel, Starscream, and next year Primus.

Yeah, my thoughts were leaning more toward wether or not one would sell today, general market... the problem with making one as a convention exclusive or something is the prohibitive cost of R&D to make a toy that size.  I doubt the plastic is really all that expensive, in the end.  It's more the cost of all the work that goes into designing and producing them, and especially the molds.  I know there are some toys like the robosapien that are selling like hotcakes at a $100+ price point, and I was just thinking about how well a bigger than Unicron bot would fare on today's market.  With Unicron's complexity, and then Starscream's simplicity, I'm wondering if they could actually design a toy that was intricate enough to warrant the cost, but still easy enough to transform to appeal to the kids, who are the actual target market.  I would think that if they could engineer a huge bot like that to pass a drop test, and design it cool enough (with more modes than just city and robot... it would need to be functional as a battle station, a robot, and have an awesome vehicle mode, like a big tank or space cruiser) to appeal to kids enough to warrant the parents spending the dough.  Obviously it would be a christmas item, but could Hasbro (or us, collectively through suggestions) actually design a toy like Fort Max for today's market that WOULDN'T be a financial disaster for the company?

The could do a convention exclusive release of the original Fort Max with no remolding.  I bet that'd sell.

as for a general release that size, it would have to be full of electronics and gimmicks to make parents go for it.  Robo sapien does a lot more than change from semi-articulated robot to non-moving miniture city.
