Wait a few episodes more. He will be completely outshined by the Headmasters.  :tftongue

I too felt the first 2-3 episodes were awesome but it is unbelievable how fast the stories go downhill.

Watched several episodes and the series went from good to really awful.

The death of Ultra Magnus was done horribly wrong. Ultra Magnus is a powerful Transformer but did not really fight back. When Optimus was killed he at least fought back and manage to pretty much finish off Megatron as well.

Ultra Magnus however was destroyed pretty easily without any serious injury. Then the Headmasters kicked Sixshot's skidplate without much effort. How does that make sense?

As for Galvatron's plan to use Earth as his body is completely ludicrous. Galvatron shows no sign of madness but this plan even the insane Galvatron would not dream of. Chalk it up to Japanese writers to come up with such ideas.

In the end he gets buried in ice. As if that would stop him. In the first G1 episodes Skyfire is also buried in an avalanche resulting in the Autobots having to dig him out.

If Skyfire was fine, then Galvatron could survive this as well. Especially seeing how he, as a creation of Unicron) is much stonger. After surviving the destruction of his home planet. he would not survive this?

Other than that and the Japanese influences (power being all important, special moves instead of actual battle skills) the series is still ok.

I try to keep in mind that this series is aimed at Japanese kids and very yong ones at that. One thing I did notice and I am not sure if that is because of the translation (which at times leaves a bit to be desired) is that the word damn is used a lot. That and sentences like "Go to hell" seem a bit "extreme" for a kids cartoon.

The only curse word I know of in a children's cartoon is Dick Dartardly saying "Drat". And if he is really upset "Drat, drat and even a triple drat."  :tftongue

Welcome to japanese storytelling :roll

But, X-Bob loves it *shrugs*

So, Cybertron destroyed,

Ultra Magnus dies

Optimus Prime dies (again :roll )

Galvatron dies

Sixshot gets whooped by the Headmasters

no minibots

Is nothing sacred?

Is there anything good left!

the throttlebots all got blown up in a shuttle. Thats worth seeing.

They survived though.  ;)

i liked headmasters, especially sixshot's characterisation later on and the target masters are also cool, that is one idea that was put to better use than in armada/micron legend

and whats a good price and is the subbed better than the dubbed? (i assume it is)

Considering how Blot the Japanese G1 dubs are, it would have to be. If we could find anything that is worse than the TF dubs, then we would have finally found conclusive evidence that there is no God. :P

I've just finished watching Headmasters, and the ending seemed a bit.....flat? It ended pretty much like Season 4....

Quite liked it though, but Sixshot being befriended by Daniel..ew!! Is he mad??
