thats because he was part of the process in it's development.

 

(i'm entering a competition to win a robotech dvd, headmasters, g1 thundercracker and the movie reconstructed. if i win i'll trade the headmasters set (already got one ordered of amazon) )

Not too hopeful that this set will be a grade A box set. Too much things that could have been better.

 

Still, I pre-ordered simply because it is still Transformers. Techinally as it is missing a bit of what made G1 so great.

 

They mess up a few things, Daniel being more annoying, Brainstorm having a face, Galvatron not being insane anymore for one.

 

Still 35 Euro for this set is not too bad even though I am not even sure if I will get around to watching all the episodes. Still have not gotten around to my Armada box set either. (Got a lot of non-Transformer DVD's to watch as well.)

 

I am really looking forward to Beast Machines on DVD. May even take a day off from work to watch all of those in one sitting.

 

But I have to admit, it is a neat addition to my collection because these episodes have never been released outside of Japan. Of course once I have seen them I will probably think "there is a reason for that".

 

I liked R.I.D. even if it was a Japanese show because it was a completely new show. These Japanese shows use US characters in a different way and that is a bit strange as they do not always match their US counterparts.

 

And from what I saw in the episodes that I did see, the series get more "Japanese" with each series. So I am betting an emphasys on obtaining power at all costs and the over usage of humans.

 

Oh well, it is not even sure if those other series are even released. It all depends on how this one is selling.

masterforce and victory are meant to be released as well. this is takara part 1. hopefully the victory will have the zone episode on it

I am curious to know more about the "japanese-version of wheelie"

whats his glitch? if he didnt talk in Rhyme - the reviewer/translator just calls him a "Jerk" which is pretty broad...

Wheelie is basically a kid in this sereis.  Daniel and Wheelie are joined

by the hip and they are always getting into trouble, such as sneaking along on

missions, getting captured, etc.  Wheelie even cries.  He is much more of a softy

in this series than in season 3.

I was talking about Wheelie crying, and it's not the episode you are referring to.

Like G1 didn't have an over abundance of usage of Humans.  Spike was constantly getting involved.  Then there was the Defense Captain, Daniel, Tracks punk friend.  Looking back Human's made up a pretty big chunk of the supporting cast.
