I think they should start going after older licenses.  Look at games like Need for Speed Underground.  They have a wide range of "tuner" cars from the 90s and up.  It would be cheaper, and the newest model is not always the most popular.  One good example would be the second and third Generation Mitsubishi Eclipse (which only this year has entered its fouth generation body-style).  I think people would definitely be receptive to cars that didn't come out this year.

I've been thinking along the same lines. Any car as long as it was sufficiently small, round and compact enough would suit such an iconic character.

 

The only problem is without the added bonus of his vehicle mode also being an upgrade of his G1 mode, I think most people would Starscream about having to pay the same price for a smaller bot, and it just wouldn't sell well enough.

The Only cars I want for Bumblebee are the beetle or the mini cooper.

this is not about how we don't like car companies who don't like our war toys ...... this is about sneaky unethical business practices made by a car company who knew damn good and well what transformers are about; a type of WAR.

 

Honda US knew what was up but didn't want to lose out on the great promotional oprtunity as well as the money they get to make off of the licenses. Hell this is beyond great advertisment.........it's not only free but they get paid to do it. Who's gonna pass that up? not honda! But how do they get around this so called moralistic thing about war toys .......... well just wait till the deal is made and the toy is produced and then spring on the; "oh but you have to get rid of the gun cos we don't promote war toys ...... but everything else is fine".

 

I have huge respect for the other companies that flat out said NO. at least they have some business ethics and are not hypocrites like Honda.

 

oh and BTW just because you have the guns removed from the bots that advertise your cars does not mean that you are living up to the moral ideal that you are not promoting war toys. Transformers and altinaters is still a toy line that supports a story line that invalves war.

What about concept cars? I've always wondered if you can take the Lexus seen in "Minority Report" and make it into Hot Rod.

I think the excuse that these companies don't want to be associated with WAR toys is totally foolish.  Besides, the one key factor here...these auto robots are the GOOD GUYS!  They fight EVIL. 

 

Just because a "German made" gun or something comes out of Germany does not make the manufacturer a Nazi! 

 

Furthermore, its not OK to badmouth say a black person and say this or that based on skin color, but for some reason its ok to mark Germans as a Nazi? 

 

I made a pict of how this stereotypical view of war machines of German origins mark say Bumble Bee as a Nazi...making him look the part.  Then MAYBE someone might have the right to say that.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES AM I BAD MOUTHING BLACK PEOPLE, OR SUPPORTING THE NAZI PARTY!  At the most, I am trying to show how stupid it is to have these companies (what reason does Honda have against war machines anyway?) see how stupid they are acting and reconsider the Transformer versions of their cars and trucks.

if w was going to do anything, they would use my idea and dust off cliffjumpers name to be a Jetta. I still think his original alternate mode looks like a jetta with a small spoiler.

I disagree that we should forget the past, forget the holocost, forget that hitler ever happened to look forward to todays issues. If you look close at todays issues they are basically the same as the have always been. You can not forget what came before because history has Proven time again that it will happen again. Maybe not in Germany or Japan again, but some where else. We need to learn what we can from the past and use it to make the future better for everyone.

 

As for ditching honda? I dont agree with that either. They have snappy looking cars. I Love the s2000 and the Integra/rsx. Very classy vehicles and Bot modes at that! Sure they are not perfect, but is there a perfect Alt/BT? I dont really think there is.  And as for why would Japan not like war toys? Did we forget all the War time atrocities they commited during WW2? It is still strange that it was Honda USA to come out against it. As for german cars? I can live without them in the line, there are tons of great cars/trucks out there to try and use. Lets hope Hasbro/Takara-tomy Find and use some!
