Compared to everything I have seen TF, BW is the more mature. BM has good stories but I HATE the character designs (Vehicons are OK but if they were bipedal they wouild be cool... and let us not forget about the taboo word of Fox/Bob's dictionary: GUNS!!! :tfevil :Dc) and the ending. MAYBE if it were a planet other than Cybertron.....................................

But compared to the disapointment Cybertron is, even G1 is more "mature", on its own way. I got the show on DVD and my philosophy has been proven: MTMTE is WAY better than the Armada pilot!  :thumb

The "no guns" thing is a myth. You will recall that the Maximals were the only ones without them.

To be perfectly honest, this poll is a bit unfair. Asking the question "What is the most mature?" then pitting G1 and RiD against BW and BM is like putting "Welcome Back, Kotter" and "The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer" in the same poll as "The Shield" and "Deadwood" then asking which is more dramatic. Sure, G1 had its moments--"The Golden Lagoon" and "The Secret of Omega Supreme" stick out in my mind--but overall, most toons in the '80s existed to move product. RiD was a parody, so that's like putting "Scary Movie 3" against "The Ring" for scares. BW didn't really seem to have that constraint, seeing as how they killed off about half the cast before season 3 started. BM was bipolar at worst--some segments played out like someone's mushroom-Zen headtrip, then everyone's blowing the sh*t outta each other. At best, it was a philosophical journey that tried to make you think--but not too hard--all wrapped up in a nice action-y package.

i agree. but i dont think you give enough credit to bm. to see how tormented primal was in bm was pretty deep. we see just how cold and ruthless one can get with megatron. i think he took it to new heights, even with his own personal battle with his beast nature and will to overcome it. and lets not forget noble. after megs left that body, he really had no reason to exist. but he was there to do what he was there to do. and seriously, i love bw and the last season had killer storyline, but wtf was up with the rampant slapstick comedy that was in at least once an episode? it was really bugging me. so to sum it up, i voted bm. man i want that on dvd.

G1 has to be the most mature.  Why?  They had a movie in which the only filthy word ever in the entire TF universe was uttered.

Saying curse words doesn't account for mature if your plotline is still dribble.. :redface

I'd go with BM myself. But I enjoyed BW a little bit more. Even that said, I don't consider a TV show selling toys mature in any sense of the word, no matter what the content is. Mature if like watching Law and Order and stuff. Transforming robots are just cool. :thumb

agree

Although I will say that Beast Machines was probably too deep for its target demographic, which is one reason it ultimately didn't succeed IMO. My son loves watching it b/c of the action, but he's not really old enough to appreciate the spiritual / philosophical issues raised in the series.
