Got to with BW. That show had it's funny moments, it's dark moments, and it's unforgettable moments. Each character had their own story which the show highlighted. Like the battles between Depth Charge and Rampage to the conflicts of Dinobot and the love between Silverbolt and BA.

BeastWars hands down. :thumb

For all the reasons thus far mentioned.

Depends on what you mean by "mature". If you mean "grown-ups who aren't fanboys would like it" then I don't know. Beast Wars started off as pretty G1-ish but got more involved as the series went on. But even then it was a very action-oriented show. There are only a handful of episodes that would qualify as "mature" IMO ("Code of Hero" being the most obvious). Beast Machines was intentionally written as a more *spiritual* show, but I don't know that it was intentionally written to be more mature. I think the basic premise, plus the fact of the spiritual/philosophical focus of the show, makes people think of it as a more mature show. But for all its depth, BM had plenty of cartoon-y moments.

Most mature has to be G1.  well before wheelie that is.

To be perfectly honest, this poll is a bit unfair. Asking the question "What is the most mature?" then pitting G1 and RiD against BW and BM is like putting "Welcome Back, Kotter" and "The Secret Diary of Desmond Pfeiffer" in the same poll as "The Shield" and "Deadwood" then asking which is more dramatic. Sure, G1 had its moments--"The Golden Lagoon" and "The Secret of Omega Supreme" stick out in my mind--but overall, most toons in the '80s existed to move product. RiD was a parody, so that's like putting "Scary Movie 3" against "The Ring" for scares. BW didn't really seem to have that constraint, seeing as how they killed off about half the cast before season 3 started. BM was bipolar at worst--some segments played out like someone's mushroom-Zen headtrip, then everyone's blowing the sh*t outta each other. At best, it was a philosophical journey that tried to make you think--but not too hard--all wrapped up in a nice action-y package.

Compared to everything I have seen TF, BW is the more mature. BM has good stories but I HATE the character designs (Vehicons are OK but if they were bipedal they wouild be cool... and let us not forget about the taboo word of Fox/Bob's dictionary: GUNS!!! :tfevil :Dc) and the ending. MAYBE if it were a planet other than Cybertron.....................................

But compared to the disapointment Cybertron is, even G1 is more "mature", on its own way. I got the show on DVD and my philosophy has been proven: MTMTE is WAY better than the Armada pilot!  :thumb
