Pure conjecture. By "Primus will be ready to battle Unicron" they mean "Hey! here is a great companion piece to that Unicron you have!"

Hasbro lost more than they made in terms of supreme case product orders and Parent/Company relations. Putting out a third recolor of a mold that is far from selling would be asinine business practice and for all the flack they receive for what they do, I hold Hasbro in higher regard than that.

when unicron came out everyone prolly drooled over it just as much. but now its all "to hell with unicron he blows" just because you see primus. well lets all have a look at primus a year after hes out and see what you all think of him then.  :tfmad

That's what I thought too. I thought there was going to be some big King Scream Vs Primus action on the show. Looking at the size chart I dont think that's happening. Then Metroplex may end up being a Leader Class that unfolds to be taller than both Primus and Kingy.

 

If Unicron would have flown off the shelf I'd have no Problem with another Uni, recolor or remold. Since he sat there, and then sat there and then got a recolor piled on top of that which also sat there, Please no Unicron.

 

Imagine a new mold of Unicron that is superior to the first one. How many people would just straight throw their original fig in the trash?  :wave Go to trash! Do not pass Go. Straight to the dumpster.

I dunno about that. If I look at the image closely, it looks like there is a whole lot less articulation than Unicron had. In fact, it looks to me like the only parts that move are his arms and his head. Were this not Primus, I think people would be complaining that it is little more than a ball with spikes all over it.

 

I will get it for sure, but lets be honest here - Unicron is a much nicer toy.

How can his transformation work without leg articulation. He needs at least foward-backward thighs and knee articulation, and I beleive I see a ratchet joint on hsi thigh. His articulation should be comparable to unicron.

TWO years! Genius!

MY EYES!!!!! :eek  He looks awesome!!!, but expensive.

I'm glad they finally got back to making a Supreme Class figure that is actually WORTH the price point!  Omega Supreme/Sentinel and King Starscream are in no way even close to Unicron in terms of articulation, details, or complexity.  Unicron is *the* definition of a Supreme Class figure to me, and Primus is the only figure since to be up to that standard even by a long shot.  I also really like that they decided to come up w/ a completely different TF scheme from Uni instead of rehashing that concept and changing the aesthetics.  As cool as Don's Primus design is/was, it is/was still too close to Unicron for my tastes.
