With all the talk about the Primus possibly being a BW-Neo Unicron prototype retool, can anyone tell me if this is the case?

No,  BW Neo Unicron is several inches short of A/E Unicron.

Well I hope that Takara releases this bad boy early. I don't want to wait until fall '06, so if they do, I will definitely be importing it (plus the quality control will probably be better, ie Vector Prime).

Hasbro are probably aiming for the toy to be at market saturation come xmas 2006.

That would most likely mean a release around Aug 2006.

I would've said Takara would be several months earlier, but based on how soon the wave 2 basics came out, i'd say Hasbro are playing catch up.....

Im not sure how Hasbro plan to keep the line running for 16 months or so, sheesh the protos for Galvatron have surfaced already.  Odds are he'll be on the shelves  come November.

I smell annother case of a line whose later half is filled with repaints.

Finally! Hasbro got us some pics before every one else. This gives a whole new literal meaning to the name Transformers:Cybertron. I never ever thought we'd be actually have the chance to own the Planet Cybertron. Cool!

I wonder if this is what DW comics were trying to allude to in their G1 Comics. Megatron was always thinking that Cybertron was some type of mobile fortress. I hate that all of these revelations are being made in TF:C. You just know there is not going to be some deep story behind Primus' transformation and why he's been sleep for so long.

Any chance those stories of a 3rd Unicron are true and he will be a new mold?

If so, here's to hoping that he will look at least half as cool as Primus.

No offense intended, but Armada Unicron was trash IMO.  Never bought one, not even when they were dirt cheap.  Primus, on the other hand, looks spectacular.  I really, REALLY hope we get a new Unicron mold out of either this or a subsequent line so my Primus will have a worthy opponent.  Armada garbage just doesn't deserve to share a shelf with a transformer of this caliber.

Unicron has finger articulation, Primus has not :P

enough reason to buy Unicron :D

(I'm just looking for arguments to persuade sertile ;) )

I just blew my load looking at that thing. Imagine what holding him will do to me.......
