Primus toy preview

Recommended Posts

Looks Like the death star on acid......makes the unicron toy look like a joke.

I dunno about that. If I look at the image closely, it looks like there is a whole lot less articulation than Unicron had. In fact, it looks to me like the only parts that move are his arms and his head. Were this not Primus, I think people would be complaining that it is little more than a ball with spikes all over it.

I will get it for sure, but lets be honest here - Unicron is a much nicer toy.

:wtf  he is as articulated as unicron (bar the feet) hes just not put in a gr8 pose

id just like to ask before i post this: dont throw rocks

i hate the idea of ANOTHER planet sized transformer. the whole idea of cybertron transforming into primus... ugh. for what? to fight unicron? then what the hell is the matrix for? and and the legions of transformers that inhabit cybetron. forget factions when something the size of unicron attacks, you unite. i mean look at unicron, huge evil planet robot. theyre next idea is to make something to equaly counter it? common not exactly original thinking.

that being all said im buying this toy. becuase it does look amazing and the planet mode looks like cybertron. who doesnt want a lil cybetron globe? and lets stop knocking the unicron toy. be happy you have one.

He's not "meant" to fight Unicron, he's supposed to seal up the black hole he left behind. The story angle is that he's supposed to awaken after the cyber planet keys are collected and do godly TF things. It's merely a fanboy creaming bonus that he's fighting weight for Unicron AND turns into freakin' Cybertron.

I mean, how cool is it to have planet Cybertron sitting on your shelf?!? :yay

I was thinking about getting an Armada Unicron, but there were elements I didn't like (glass hand for one, and the primary orafice was a jagged two plate thing and not the nasty opening iris affare which was cooler, plus being shaped like a half planet Titanium).

If they have plans to remake him I'd hope they get him right this time.

Concerns about Primus?

His scale doesn't seem to be quite right as if he is a planet some of those structures would be miles tall.

Just hope that if they re-did Unicron this would be addressed. I still have issues witht he whole Primus robot thing, but then I am an old school G1-er

get a grip and stop flaming, the amount of money that i spend on cars and tfs would make you cry.  try considering the fact that many CHILDREN are too poor to splash out on $90 for an international subsription for a handfull of magazines, its not a case of people being cheap but a matter of economics, beleive it or not there are people out there in poor countires who dont make $90 a month and I have lived in some of them, the concept of restricting information to sell a couple of magazines is laughable, no-one else is going to join now anyway.

if TFans are scumbags I think I speak for everyone when i say you dont have to come here, cya and I dont think anyone will miss your attitude towards `fellow fans`

i agree 100% with you, Jag. because i don't get much money easily. i think this club is far too expensive and not deserving of hiding information like that. i saw the picture and loved the toy.

i also wonder why would master collectibles or whatever it's called want to keep nonmembers from seeing the toy? the more people who see what to expect, the more it will sell. simple logic really.

i can't wait to see this thing on shelves!  :thumb

Apparently some people think Hasbro does not need fans to sell their toys. They also think it would take hasbro, and I quote, "10 minutes and $30" to shut down any website. LOL.

Personally, I don't think Hasbro give a damn. They don't make money off that magazine and they are enjoying the hype created by the leaked photo. Even if they do mind, it would take a lot of resources to combat anybody in court, they are not going to do it. Some people saw too many movies and thought all big corporations are evil empires set out to destroy the little guys. :)

Back to primus, I like the picture, but I doubt the final toy would look exactly like that. Also, $50 is a bit too much for me. Maybe it will go on sale for $20CND just like Unicorn did.  :clap

Can someone pm me the pic of the toy or possible send it to my e-mail addy dzeta7@hotmail.com?  It would be much appreciated. :tfgrin

I think people are missing the point a little and being a might meladramatic...

Its not that Hasbro wants to hide the toys from the fans.... its that they probably want to release the photos when THEY decide.  Not when YOU decide.  if they ran THEIR company they way YOU wanted it... well you get the point....

That being said - I dont see anything really wrong with a couple of geeky kids (or adults acting like kids) - saying Oooooh! I want that toy!!

our leaked pics are NOT going to hurt Hasbro... That being said we also cant whine if Hasbro says "Please Dont!!"

Hasbro have to run the company the way their CUSTOMERS and SHAREHOLDERS want. Hasbro as an entity doesn't exists without customers or shareholders. In the end, Hasbro can't make any decision unless they can guarantee their shareholders that the decision would attract more customers and thus increase shareholder values. It doesn't matter what I want, however, Hasbro's management has to ask itself, would a law suit against its own fanbase hurts its bottom line?

My point was simple, it helps Hasbro's sales to create a hype for their toys. And they are doing so quite successfully. Whether that's the inner kid in me (we all got one, hell, we are buying kids' toys) talking or was that just an objective observation, you can draw your own conclusion.
