Judging from their comments a while ago, the only way they would go back to a small cast like they had in BW/BM is if they were to sell multiple versions of the same figure.

I would be OK with both of these.

Who would not want to own Waspinator. They should really rerelease him in a version that falls apart and reassembles with the press of a button. :tftongue

I'd be all over that.

I'm sticking to G1. It may not be shiny, but there's still so much to not know about it. Its so expansive! I can take myself anywhere, and Im not old enough to have nostalgia anyway.

Generation One leaves room for imagination.

Somehow I don't have a hard time believing that someone named "optimus anal" doesn't have shiny toys.

I agree with Tek and Madhammer. Good characters can sell bad/so-so toys and judging from the bios on the backs of the Cybertron figures maybe Hasbro has figured that out as well.

Maybe the lag time between GF and Cybertron will allow for a better scripted dub.

After all, we all bought G1 minibots.... :tflaugh

I agree with you on agreeing with Tekyu and MH.

To me, personaly, G1 isn't all about Nostalgia.

I got into those characters, just like I got into the characters of BW. I got into a few characters from Energon/Super-Link. So far that I've gotten into Galaxy Force, I'm digging several characters there too. I really dig Jack Shot and Backpack.

I'm sure in the long run, most people aren't like me on this, nor do more than a very few care. But this is how each Series Breaks Down for me...

G1 comics (US, UK, & Manga) along with the Tech Specs are the things that solidified G1 to me, not the cartoon. I love the 1st Season and TF:TM and a handful of 2nd Season episodes to death, but the toys and their Tech Specs along with what the comics did are the reasons I got into Transformers as much as I did. To me those helped create stories in my head about what each character could/couldn't do and should/shouldn't do.

Beast Wars is the opposite for me...the BW show made those toys (which I hated at first) worth buying. The show got me into it and then the Tech Specs solidified my love of Beast Wars.

Car Robots show got me into the RID toys at first. But just the love of many of those toys kept me coming back. The toys though were awesome and brought me out of an almost 15-month non-collecting funk. I liked the RID show a lot, it never took itself too seriously and even on occasions made fun of itself.

With Armada I didn't get into too many of the toys outside the Mini-Cons and I didn't get into the show either. Also at the time I couldn't afford to keep buying comics so I never made it passed issue 2 with the comics. So all together Armada just fell to the way-side.

Super-Link got me to appreciate the Energon toys moreso...I Really do like some of these toys a lot. They are much better than what Armada done. Energon Galvatron is one of my Fav. toys in a long time. Here the toys alone pretty much made me like it. But Super-Link helped flush out certain characteristics that made be buy several more toys.

The reason Takara make em the same as the Hsbro ones in terms of storyline is to NOT step on the toes of Bandai. Japanese people, and companies dont like to upset the "wa" and cause a distirbance by openly confronting anyone or anything.

This goes for business too, so Tkara make TFfs pilotless robots suited to a younger audience. To try and go against the sheer media/market/fan presence of Gundam in Japan would be suicide (as a toy licence. Of course there are lots of stories about other mechs).

Hey, bigds9fan what is the is Medabots you speack of? Is it that show that got CANCELED with the Toys in the CLEARANCE Ile?
