I liked Cosmos. In fact felt bad for him. He was trying to prove himself and Optimus just kept telling him to hang out in space.

Reflector is definately a waste of character, but good for generic bots.

I didn't hate Daniel. I think he acted as some kids actually would. More realistic than the ARmada kids anyday. In fact, he was useful at some moments. If not for him, Bumblebee, SPike, Jazz and Cliffjumper would be dead.

Wheelie is extremely annoying. His toy sucks IMO, and so does his character. In fact, his cameo in Armada had him holding back Hotshot from rescueing Wheeljack. It's his fault that Wheeljack changed sides.

The thing that really makes me mad about the Armada kids is that they throw their comments in durring battles to advise the Autobots like they're freakin Pokemon or something. If I was any one of those armada Autobots I would tell them to stfu and take cover so they don't get squashed... or not. :tflaugh

I liked Cosmos.. there's plenty of other bots out there that were not nearly as useful.. heck, other than OS, you really don't got any one else who can get into space.. well, premovie anyway.. and OS's got that whole 'Hey guys I ran out of feul again' thing going on. But both of them are pretty funky.. I mean, Blaster riding inside Cosmos? And The Rocket arm of OS can transform into the complete OS on a different planet? Meh.. wonko G1 stuff.. I understand why they do it, it's just weird.

Agree totally on Grapple.. but having known interior designers, thats exactly how they act. It's fitting. :tftongue

Just about every 1985 Autobot is on this list IMO. Warpath, Beachcomber, Seaspray, Powerglide, Cosmos, Grapple, Hoist, Red alert... they are all incredibly annoying, unsympathetic characters. People say that G1 got gimmicky after TF:TM, but the seeds were sown long before that point.

Reflector's three bots were useful for display in season 1, when you needed to have a decent number of Decepticons shown together flying or retreating

by that time the Decepticons were outnumbered (they had only Megatron, the jets, Soundwave and his cassettes and Shockwave who never left Cybertron) and struggling to look like a big army, hence the gestalts, new seekers etc. in season 2

no wonder Reflector got dumped after S1

That plus the fact that he was a mail-order TF...

Imagine if one the three Reflector robots died, that meant they might not be able to have an alt mode. Imagine if three robots formed one car. It's not like a Gestalt that at least if a member is missing or dies they still have their alt modes. If they are going thru the trouble to combine into something, at least let it be something more useful.

Maybe they shared a spark...? (sorry GeeWun'ers, "laser core") I don't recall them ever acting independently of each other. And all three were always referred to as "Reflector"... I bet if you killed one of them, they'd all die.

Man that would really suck to be them! Bad enough you have to worry about getting yourself killed, now you have two other bodies to worry about.

Yeah, Reflector seemed to be one consciousness with 3 bodies more than 3 separate entities.

I think Reflector cloned himself so he could sleep in during Megatron's staff meetings.

Just a hunch.
