sounds dodgy to me...like asking for proof of OTFCC membership paid by credit card...when probably a large majority of members paid up at the convention, where they were asked to pay in cash

After all, if it's only Takara then TF's are too expensive so I won't be buying that many anymore. It's Hasbro's fault that they offer them at an available price so I can buy more.

From what I've seen at every Toys 'r Us here in Dallas, the G1s aren't exactly flying off shelves. I wish they'd release more too, but if the retailers aren't selling them then releasing new molds and saturating the stores even more would be idiotic, just like boycotting a company who is specifically catering to a niche market which tries to bite the hand that feeds them because a few are impatient.

 

Alas, we Americans are a self absorbed, proud bunch at times.

Yes, but I will say that:

 

1. It's a damned shame Hasbro couldn't get the figure (Sideswipe) out on time or even into it's biggest market or available through their partners at Amazon. Toys R Us shares alot of this blame too. I think was really gets me is that I _have_ been buying this line every chance I get and somebody's negligence is screwing me out of a toy, Hasbro out of their money, and the rest of us out of a great line.

 

2. I would also like to have some information thrown our way again via the Q&A sessions. Granted, they were worthless or lies more often than not, but occasionally there were some interesting hints. If you ask me, the whole OTFCC debacle was a good excuse to stop temporarily and the situation with DW has the fandom so distraught that, gasp, practically nobody will notice when it doesn't come back.

Alright it is NOT THAT BAD!

any how this is the only post (out side of mine) that even mentions the toy store's resposibility....

 

Hasbro DOES NOT have TOTAL CONTROL over distribution.

 

Even Hasbro get's a little upset about how their products get distributed by the stores.

On the side note.....Arcee might be a risk because it is the most overtly feminian transformer to date. Blackarackna was cool cos she was dark. But Arcee is very girly from alt mode to robot, com'on now Pink?!?!. Kicker is a risk because hese the first non-transforming transformer action figure to date. I think they threw in the high-wire just to make it possibly sell able to transformer fans here in the states.

 

Anyhow this is my theory on why they are STILL so hard to find. I like it, it keeps me sane and prevents me from making "boycott Hasbro threads and posts".
