Boycott Hasbro because you can't find one toy in your hometown, but could probably find on ebay, and pay double the price for later transformers, whether you can find them or not? Seems a little rash.

hey squared.. hows the baby?--- she teeth'n on a mini-con yet?.... WAIT.. I think the kids got the Masterpiece prime........

that would look pretty funny

on the ten o'clock news: "thousands of angry toy collectors line up infront of Toy's R Us' around the nation demanding the release of the delayed action figure from the line the transformers... "

when suddenly a giant robot dinosour destorys the city... well.. .its happened.... I was there.

the news lies people the news lies.

yayyyy someone boycotting hasbro... more for me

Exactly.

I find it interesting that people's first reaction here is to attack the OP, instead of seeing what he is saying (and what we've been complaining about for quite some time) -- that Hasbro's distribution chains are horrible, and they have issues with communicating with their fanbases.

So what is the OP doing? Well, for one, he's boycotting Hasbro in the respect that he is not buying anything new. How can he, as he probably has everything locally he wants. Furthermore, if he goes the route you guys are suggesting (Takara, not re-selling/ebay), then Hasbro not only loses that money, but loses any future possibility of getting his money, and therefore loses impedus to produce more product...

A transformers boycott is just that: The refusal to purchase a set of goods by a group, be it large or small. No matter what it has an impact on the company, relative to the size. Unfortunately, this isn't some small company that relies on a single toy line to survive... So in the end, all boycotts do is raise prices and potentially threaten one's line. In other words, "complaining won't do anything."

Does that mean you shouldn't complain? Of course you should! I mean, jeez, Hasbro does have issues, and they have to know such. So much stock sitting on the shelves not selling, despite the line's immense popularity... I mean, it is a good sign that one cannot find many of the Christmas product, even to this day. But perhaps Hasbro will clean up its act (on all its lines)...

I tell ya what. Let's speed it up, and boycott one of Hasbro's biggest moneymakers: Magic: The Gathering. Ya, that's where to hurt them. =p

The problem is, we've seen one to many "Hasbro suXX0rz" threads

well when you come into TFans saying dumb sh!t, prepare to be attacked.

he can do what he wants, as I stated in my previous thread, more for me!!!

I don't feel that everyone is attacking him for not being happy with Hasbro's distribution system. It's more a case of "OMG they did one thing I don't like so screw them forever!!1!" Which, you have to admit, is a bit premature. Instead of trying to find out what's going on (ie perhaps Sideswipe is scheduled for release in the U.S. next month, or next week, or maybe it's a Canadian exclusive).

In short, unless there's a better reason than "I can't find one toy" the ridicule is going to happen.
