Chapter 49

 

When the Terrorcons and Scorponok attacked Earth a fourth time, the Autobots all got a nice surprise. Megatron’s sword. Which meant only one thing. He wasn’t dead. Not in the least.

 

Ironhide had had his first successful powerlink with Jetfire, which saved Optimus. But none of them were expecting what was about to happen. Not at all.

Inside Unicron, Cyclonus and Tidal Wave were just staring at the body of their former leader, who was lying lifeless. Little did they know that Alpha Q was attempting to bring him back, but not with his original intentions.

 

Cyclonus had been fed up, and kicked Megatron’s body.

 

“DON’T DO THAT!� said a voice.

 

Cyclonus looked around, wondering where that voice had come from.

 

Tidal Wave knew somehow. “Megatron said it.�

 

Scorponok knew what this meant, and he wasn’t about to accept anything less than his total command from the Decepticons to further his and Alpha Q’s goals.

 

He decided to end Megatron’s existence right then and there. But when he went to stab Megatron, his chest absorbed the sword like a human slurping a spaghetti noodle.

 

Then the room shook. Then the shell disappeared, and in it’s place was a newer Megatron. He looked more powerful than he did years ago. Much more powerful.

 

Scorponok then proceeded to have a fight. Megatron beat Scorponok to within an inch of his life. Then he turned, and reprimanded Cyclonus, but before anything truly horrible could happen to Cyclonus, he said that it was Alpha Q who had turned them against Megatron.

 

Megatron chased Alpha Q to inside Unicron’s head, but before they could get him, Unicron’s head detached from the body. And Alpha Q left, and Scorponok stayed behind, but still serving Alpha Q’s goal, he worked under the pretense that Megatron was his new leader.

When the Decepticons attacked Earth next, they were shocked. Especially Hot Shot, who had almost paid with his life.

 

Prime had the Autobots retreat, so that they could try and make sense of it. And let Hot Shot rest.

 

But they didn’t have much time. Megatron had decided to attack Ocean City. Luckily, the Omnicons saved the day with the replicated swords that were made like Megatron’s sword.

 

When the Decepticons left, Demolishor left with them as well.

“I feel the great one weakening. He is slipping away.� “It`s because Megatron is stealing the energon from him.� “Then we must send a thief to steal it back. Here he comes. Here he comes.� “Starscream awaken Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!�

“Whoa back there Opty your old grandpa Ironhide isn`t as young as he used to be.� “That`s ok Ironhide you take a break I`ll take it from here.� “Thanks Rodimus.� “Are you sure your not too old too uncle Rodimus?� “Too old? Are you kidding I`m only 90 yrs old and in Cybertronian yrs that`s barely 30 yrs old compared to humans aging.� “Fine then you can handle this!� FOOOOOOOM! “Nice try Opty but you`ll have to do better than that!� “Fine then try this!� SHOOOOOOOM! SHOOOOOOOM! SHOOOOOOOOOM! “Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Fancy shooting there Opty but still just not quite good enough. So keep practicing.�

“Ok Arcee do you have it under control now?� “Y-yes I think so. Here I go.� ZZZZZZZ! And suddenly there appeared a large cross bow type gun. FOOOOOOOOSH! “Well that`s more like it come on keep it up hit those targets!� “Yes Alpha Trion.� FOOOOOOOOOSH! FOOOOOOOSH! FOOOOOOSH! “Perfect. Just perfect you hit every target dead center. I think your almost ready to go join your fellow omnicons to help Optimus, and the Autobots.� “Thank you Alpha Trion.�

“Optimus sir Kicker`s out riding his bike again and he looks like he feels agitated. And that usually means he senses some one or something.�

Outside “Something just isn`t right.� “Kicker what are you doing at this end of the building?� “Ironhide? Have you seen anyone or thing unusual around?� “No but I could of sworn I heard someone grumbling about Optimus. And killing him.� “Where`s Optimus Ironhide?� “In central command.� “Good he`s not alone.�

 

Later near central command “Ironhide start firing!� “But there`s noone there!?!� “Just keep firing!� “Huh who`s there?� FOOOOOOM! “That boy he somehow he can see me!?!?�

Later outside sector C “Hotshot get back to your post!� “But Optimus I can`t let you go unguarded.� “I`ve been at this game for far too long to need a babysitter. Now get back to your post STAT.�

 

“Sorry guys I blew my cover.� “ Don`t sweat it we`ll take care of it from here.� “Where do you think he`s going Kicker?� “I`d say he`s headed for energon mine 243. Attention all mine guards in mine 243 Optimus is headed your way stay on your guard.�

 

Outside mine 243 “This is Optimus Prime. If there`s someone out there who wants to challenge me then show yourself. I have little time or patience for games. So if you have something to say to me then do it now!� “He`s here I can feel it Optimus get down!� “Shoot at the sky! Alittle more to the right just keep firing!� FOOOOOOOOOSH! “Kicker!� “Don`t worry about me Optimus it`s you he`s after.� “It`s me you want now come and get me you coward! That`s it keep coming. It`s time to see who you really are.�

 

“What happened where`s Optimus?� “I have a feeling he left to settle this!� “Hurry Inferno get the coordinates of that space bridge.� “Your headed for Lunar City.�

 

On Lunar City “Hey have you seen Optimus?� “No why?� “He came through a space bridge here like 2 minutes ago.� “That`s news to me.� “He left us fake coordinates.� “He wants us to stay out of the way that`s why.�

 

Mean while back on earth “Alright guys I need a load of energon stars to take to Lunar City.� “I` want to come with you Hotshot.� “No Inferno I`m leaving you in charge here.�

 

Back at Lunar City “I don`t get it why won`t Hotshot let us help Optimus!?!� “We`ve got to find Optimus!� “Then let`s go!�

 

"Let`s go men I want to find Optimus Prime. Hmm? We`re in luck men I think I`ve just spotted Optimus Prime but who`s that firing at him?"

Chapter 51

 

Megatron saw something firing at Optimus, but what it was, he couldn’t tell. And then he couldn’t believe his eyes. Whatever had been firing at Prime stopped, and Prime fell.

 

Then Megatron realized what it was. He got angry and chased it away. But not for Prime’s sake, but for personal purposes.

Hot Shot, Ironhide, Skyblast, and Kicker got there, but it seemed they were too late.

 

“Skyblast, give him some Energon stars. Now!�

 

“But Kicker, they’re not going to do an…�

 

“NOW!�

 

“Uh, right Kicker. Okay.� Skyblast proceeded to fire some stars at Optimus’ spark crystal, and then after a few minutes, his eyes opened up.

 

“Unh. Oh. Huh, what’s this� Prime’s combination spark opened up and a red beam shot out of it. And then a blaster appeared in front of him. He used it to chase off Megatron.

Over the course of the next few weeks, a lot had happened at Ocean City. Dr. Jones came with the new Energon Tower, which in some cases was a great asset, but had a few weaknesses.

 

The Autobots found out that the strange thing that was attacking Optimus was really a revived Starscream. And along with that, they lost Demolishor to the Decepticons. Cyclonus had been reformatted as Snow Cat, and Scorponok had had a few issues with Megatron’s command.

 

Then the biggest gift came when Dr. Jones said he had a gift for the Autobots on Lunar City. It was a space ship. He had christened it the Miranda II, after his wife, Miranda Jones.

 

Optimus, Hot Shot, Ironhide, Jetfire, Inferno, Skyblast, Signal Flare, Strongarm, Kicker, and Mischa boarded, and headed to Cybertron, but little did they know, that they would run into some matters along the way that would prove some trials.

Chapter 52

 

"This is Carlos from the Mid way Gate station 08 we have an incoming Unidentified Spacecraft on radar headed directly for Asteroid City and they aren`t answering radio." "I wonder why Asteroid City"-- Kicker then remembers of a time out in space when he lost control in space when he was a child. "Kicker what`s wrong?" "N-nothing."

 

Meanwhile back on Asteriod City Alpha Q contacts Scorponok and tells him not to destroy Megatron. Also Megatron and the Decepticons are trying to gather energon for their own plan to revive Unicron. Demolisher then states that there was a ton of energon on Lunar City. So the Decepticons leave to go to Lunar City.

 

A Space Bridge open deep in space near Asteroid City "Alright team go find the enemy base." In unison the Autobots answered their commander "Yes sir." "Kicker do you sense anything?" "Just energon n-nothing else. But I`ve got a gut feeling we`re getting closer Optimus.

 

Back on Lunar City the Decepticons attack with ferocity.

 

Back out in space the Autobots see an asteroid that looks alive. "Unicron!" "Strange as soon as Hotshot meantion Unicron everyone just froze." Then suddenly Skorponok and Starscream attacked out of no where. A viscious battle ensues.

 

"Is Alpha Q`s purpose to recharge Unicron too?" "Precicly" "Starscream retreat Megatron is headed your way." "Yes Alpha Q" The battle continues as Megatron arrives Cyclonus wants to help Scorponok but Megatron tells him to hold back.

As Scoroponok is pinned down Megatron and his crew joins the fray and Megatron blasts an energon deposit. Then the Autobots retreat out into space.

Mean while out in space not far from Cybertron "C`mon lads you can do better than that can`t you?" "Well of course I can Bulkhead I learned from Scavenger at the Academy." "He he You think that Academy training will help you out here in space Wheeljack? Think again." "Well then is that why we`re out here?" "Ofcourse Cliffjumper didn`t you know this was a training mission?" "No I thought it was a combat mission." "Combat huh? Well fight me if you want combat!" "Ok. Lads you go at it a figure out how to move out here in space."

Meanwhile back on earth a banquet was being held to anounce the Energon Defense Grid Proposal. "So in short the Energon Defense Grid will allow us to protect earth from any attacking forces." "I say we accept the proposal Dr Jones has set before us an d start work immediately." Everyone in the room cheered. And rested for they had alot of work ahead of them.

Chapter 53

 

On Cybertron, the prisoner Shockblast had escaped, and at the moment, he was trying to escape the prison.

 

Optimus got word of this, and he, Inferno, and Hot Shot went down to Cybertron to help get him.

 

When they landed Optimus said “Be careful guys. Shockblast is extremely dangerous.�

 

Inferno’s eyes widened. “Do you mean the famous prisoner Shockblast, Optimus?�

 

Optimus responded “One and the same Inferno, so be careful.�

 

They both said “Yes, sir!�

 

Off they went to try and find him

In the prison, Shockblast was in a corridor, trying to get out. But some Autobot guards were blocking his exit. Then two of the three left, and the third turned his back. Shockblast took aim and fired. The guard fell permanently.

 

Shockblast then proceeded to make his way outside the prison building itself.

 

He looked up, and saw that Megatron was up there in Unicron.

 

“Hey Megatron. Still looking for some Energon?�

Megatron looked up. “Why I do believe Shockblast is calling me. Yes Shockblast, I am looking for more Energon.�

“Good. The Autobots here have loads of it in their Energon towers. All we need to do is siphon off the Energon flow to us, and we’re good to go.�

 

“Okay. I’ll send Tidal Wave, Snow Cat, Demolishor, and Starscream to help you. What do you need me to do?�

 

“At the moment, the Autobot’s stupid Energon grid is up, so we need a diversion, or something powerful enough to knock a hole in it so they can get in.�

 

“I’ll send some Terrorcons to bombard it with themselves.�

Meanwhile, the two guards that were the main guards for Shockblast, Wing Dagger and Padlock, got some info on Shockblast’s current whereabouts, so they followed the lead. It led them right to Cybertron’s core, where Primus was.

 

Little did they know that it was an ambush. Shockblast jumped down and grabbed Padlock, just as Optimus, Hot Shot, and Inferno joined the party.

 

“Let him go Shockblast,� yelled Wing Dagger. “Padlock, you okay buddy?�

 

“Ungh. Get out of here. I’m fine. Save yourself Wing Dagger. AEAGGHH!� Shockblast was doing what his name said, shocking Padlock with a nice electric jolt.

 

“None of you fire, and we’ll all be fine. Heh heh heh.�

 

He walked out the door of the core, and released Padlock. Wing Dagger started to rush to his buddy, but before he could get there, Shockblast sent a plasma blast right through Padlock, and luckily, Wing Dagger was out of the line of fire. “PADLOCK!�

 

Shockblast locked Hot Shot, Optimus, Inferno, and Wing Dagger in the core. Wing Dagger ran to the door and started slamming it. “CURSE YOU SHOCKBLAST!�

Chapter 54

 

“Starscream Galvatron’s son is out there in space inside Unicron.� “Well it serves the little moron right.� “Sir I don`t think you understand. He helped Shockblast escape. We could go join him.� “What did you say Motormaster?� “G-go j-join him.� “You insolent whelp I`m the leader of the Decepticons now. He is just the son of our fallen commander.� “But Starscream the Predicons have taken a ship to go join him shouldn`t go with them?� “You can go if you like you fool but the window in the energon grid is very small you probably won`t make it. It’s barely big enough for one ship but there are thousands of Decepticon ships trying to get through that hole. Take our fastest ship. And Motormaster.� “Yes sir?� “Do try to return your team to me alive.� “Yes sir.�

 

Mean while near the hole in the energon grid Shockblast`s father Shockwave is trying to get through. However the sheer number of Decepticon ships trying to get through the small hole was overwhelming. “C`mon baby almost there. Almost the....� As Shockwave entered the hole a large Decepticon starcruiser slammed right through his little ship and smashed it into the energon grid completely enhilating him and his small vessel. Many other Decepticons from the Great war met with similar fates as they had grown tired of Starscream’s leadership, or rather his lack there of and decided to join up with Megatron only to be destroyed in their attempt at escaping Cybertron.

Back on earth Dr. Jones’s assistant was flipping through the channels when all of a sudden he heard. “Spike Witwicky who was once a great help to the Autobots in ridding our world of the Decepticon threat died today of a heart attack while skydiving. He was 64 years old.� “Oh no dad!� “Dr. Jones?� “My mother divorced my father 20 years ago because he was always off on missions with the Autobots. She changed our last names back to her maiden name “Jones� to keep us from being recognized so I could grow up to be normal.� “WOW! I never knew that Dr Daniel Jones was really Daniel Witwicky.� “Exactly what my mother had hoped. I can`t believe that he`s gone. I haven`t talked to him in years. He was always off with the Autobots on some grand adventure And now he`s gone forever.� “Wait Dr. Jones if you`re Daniel then where`s Wheelie?� “He lives at my mom`s house with her. He finally out grew the rhyming and now transforms into a Kawasaki Ninja motor cycle.� “So your mom has a transformer after divorcing your dad because of them?� “Weird huh? Well she always has him cleaning her house for her since being a motorcycle his bot mode is smaller about the size of the average human. Man I just can`t believe my dad is gone.� “Well Dr. Jones they said he was 64 and from what I understand your dad was like really into extreme sports.� “Yeah I read once that he thought it kept him young. The last time I saw him was at Optimus Jr`s wedding he looked pretty good. Oh shoot Optimus he`ll probably want to know of this since his father and my dad were really close. Not to mention Rodimus. I can still remember the fishing trips the three of us used to go on.�

 

About an hour later after he`d gotten himself collected Dr. Jones called Optimus to tell him the sad news. “Optimus I have really bad news.� “What is it Dr. Jones?� “My father died.� “I`m sorry to hear that but we`re a little busy here on Cybertron.� “My father was Spike Witwicky.� “Spike`s dead!?!� “Yes now please get Rodimus Prime on the line for me so I can tell him before I start to cry again. Also I need to tell Kicker.� “Yes Daniel I`ll get them both on the line immediately.� “Thank you Optimus.�

 

Minutes later Kicker and Rodimus Sr. Both entered the room. “Hey dad what`s up?� “Yes Daniel I`ve been wondering the same thing since Optimus called me.� “Well guys my dad died today. He had a heart attack while skydiving.� “Grandpa Spike is dead!?! No it can`t be!� “Spike oh man Daniel are you ok?� “I`ll be fine Rodimus I`d just like to invite all of you to his funeral here on earth.� Just then Optimus broke into the conversation. “Daniel I`m sorry but noone can leave Cybertron right now the energon grid is up and Unicron is knocking at the door.� “I see well then I suppose it`ll have to be a video fed funeral then.� “Thanks Daniel I think your father would want us all to be there but since we can`t be there at least we can watch the vid feed in order to honor his memory.� “Thank you Rodimus. I`ll send the vid feed in a day or so.�

 

Two days later Daniel and his mother along with his wife Miranda and their daughter Sally bid a fond farewell to a man who`s selfless acts of bravery saved the earth just as many times as the Autobots had. “I think your father would have liked what you had put on his tombstone honey.� “I know he would have.�

Chapter 55

 

With the newly built body for Wing Dagger, Rad was ready to commission him. The thing was, he needed a new name. Something other than Wing Dagger. It seemed a little, odd now that he was bigger. Then he remembered that his father was the famous Star Saber, but that name was taken. Then Rad figured that he could combine the two names. Star Dagger…nope. Wing Star...nah. Dagger Saber…horrible. Then it hit him. Wing Saber. Perfect. He programed it into his logic center, and he was ready.

 

The reason for the rebuild was that when Shockblast had made another attempt on the Energon towers, Wing Dagger had made it his mission to bring him to justice. Then Tidal Wave grabbed on, and pulling Wing Dagger off of Shockblast, they were both crushed by an Energon Tower, Wing Dagger more so that he was almost de-commissioned. But they were able to make it so that he could be rebuilt into this new body. And Rad had finished just in time. The Autobots were fighting the Decepticons inside of Unicron. And Prime had lost the use of Prime Force and was weary.

 

They had gotten Dr. Jones to send them a load of energon from Earth, but it had exhausted Earth’s energon resources that they had very little left. In turn, it wound up turning Unicron’s head into a small sun made entirely of energon. An energon sun.

 

“Wing Saber. Optimus needs your help. Go here and help him. Do you understand?�

 

Rad just waited for a response. Any response. “Gotcha Rad. I’m on my way. And with my new strength, I’ll be able to help him no problem.�

 

And off he went to help Prime.

Meanwhile, inside Unicron, the place was falling apart. Mirage, Demolishor, and Snow Cat were worried, and looking for Megatron. Along with them was Starscream. Then they came across Optimus. He looked uncomfortable.

 

“You’ve got to get Megatron to stop this. He’s going to destroy Cybertron.�

 

“What. He needs Unicron to accomplish his goals of domination.� Starscream said.

 

All of a sudden there were laser blasts fired at the Decepticons. The new Autobot transformed and stood between them and Optimus.

 

“I’m here for you Optimus.�

 

�Wing Dagger?� Prime said inquisitively.

 

“It’s Wing Saber now sir. I can also Powerlink with you.�

 

“Perfect. Optimus Prime, Powerlink!�

 

Wing Saber split into four quarters. His legs stayed the same and became Prime’s legs. His upper body split in half down the middle, and each half became wings and arms for Prime. Prime was satisfied. “Powerlink complete!�

 

He turned around and found Megatron in what might be Unicron’s waist. Along with him was Rodimus powerlinked with Inferno. With Megatron was Starscream, who had followed Prime.

 

“Surrender Megatron. Even you know that there’s no point in ruling a dead world.�

 

As they spoke, Shockblast fired behind them, aiming at Megatron. But the result was a hole in Unicron, which only added to what the energon sun was doing, and that resulted in a hole in space, which was sucking Unicron and any and all involved parties along with him. The first to go was Shockblast. Followed quickly by Alpha Q in Unicron’s head.

 

Following them were the Decepticons. Then Unicron. Optimus and Rodimus with Jetfire powerlinked to Ironhide followed suit. Then Hot Shot, Landmine, and Prowl also followed. They however found themselves in an asteroid/meteor shower. Kicker and Mischa were about to follow in the Miranda II, but not before Arcee, the other Omnicons, and the Mini-Con combiner Perceptor boarded and joined them.

A few hours after they’d apparently disappeared, a space bridge opened up near the rip. And out came two vehicles. One was a sports car, and the other an elongated dune buggy.

 

“I hope we don’t get lost.� Said the dune buggy.

 

The sports car answered. “It would be pointless if the search party got lost themselves. Let’s just go in there and wait for our leader.�
