I think things get complicated when you live in a larger Urban Area. I live in Houston, and have found it difficult to find new releases. Not only due to the increase in competition from other fans, but from sellers like ToysRUs designating stores as overflow. Meaning that all oth the overstock from other stores get piled at one location. With the shelves full of figures I've had since they came out, sometimes before they came out, the location becomes useless. And no new figures will show up there because their Transformers shelves are overstocked. But they figure the more people in an area, the more they will be able to move the unmovable.

 

After watching the interview where he said he would lower the price of gas by telling oil executives "Hey, you've had you fun. Now cut it out." it's clear he has no realistic plan for running this country. Between that and his rambling Birther nonsense there is no way I could ever consider voting for him.

 

So you would rather vote for Obama? Dude he ran from Illinois, you and I both know about how the politicians from Illinois end up in jail.

I just went hunting and literally came up dry, there is nothing out here, and its pissing me off. And only 1 of the two Walmarts here has the HFTD, RTS, and 1st wave of Generations on clearance. The PCC's are still full price and nothing new.

I had the chance to do a little hunting my self yesterday and came up empty. I may still be able to score you a Constructicons PCC set but I don't know about Dinobots. And I am soooooo sick of seeing Sea Attack Ravage and the original Mudflap. Always with the Mudflap.

 

Oh! I almost forgot! I saw the new HA Skids up for pre-order. Maybe a new HA Mudflap won't be far behind!

 

 

That is actually part of what got me going here in the first place. The fact that many people can still go and find the first HA Skids all over, most never saw Mudflap and here we are already getting the Skids repaint.

 

I mean, couldn't they at least have passed the Mudflap on for a store exclusive or something...to at least get people a chance to finally get him? No...we have to get yet another repaint of Sideswipe, the worst figure in the line!

 

It just seems like the light is on, but nobody is home.

Totally blowing off HA Mudflap, now the g1 Legends and probably the last RTS voyager wave which pretty much nobody at all ever saw...that gets hard to swallow. Little sign that the new PCC figs will ever come out either. As usual, just as they appear to really be getting good.

 

Then to see a new Skids figure being made for DOTM, of course a BB repaint and STILL no word we'll ever see that HA Mudflap.

 

 

Dude I do have to tell you HA Mudflap did come out, he even showed up at TJ Maxx as well as Marshalls.

I was just about to post that. If you're near watertown ma, the marshalls at the arsenal mall had a bunch of them for like 15 or 20 bucks last week. I don't have and HA figures but I almost bought it just because of the price.

Anyway who with in Hasbro decides what figure and how many of that figure goes into a case? That person/persons need to go out and look at all the stores to see whats still on the shelf and what is not. Also I think Hasbro needs to STOP showing us all these new figures that MIGHT come out and ONLY show us the new figures that WILL coming out.

 

 

 

You do realize how unreasonable this would be? Many areas sell differently. You can't expect someone to fly all around the country checking every store in all regions just so you get the toys you want. Hasbro looks at slaes numbers and shipping numbers and predicts marketing strategies 6 months to a year in advance. It's a gamble, but as long as they clear production costs they consider it profitable, whether they toys get sold in walmart, target, trus, marshalls or tjmaxx. Hasbro shows the fans previews because the fans demand it, it gives them an advance idea of collector interest and hell it's advertising. But if you don't go out an buy the hell out of a certain line or wave, well things get canceled. It's not Hasbro hating on you personally. It's business, and business is part risk and part risk management. You also have to factor in the wildcard of kids. Hasbro has a decent idea of what collectors want. The fandom is very vocal about it and practically does the market research for Hasbro for free, but you can never gauge what kids are or aren't going to buy.

I can see that. I use to be a wrestler back in HS. Then I went black..and got accused of being goth! Now I'm just a Rivet Head DJ. :party

Heres what hasbro should do:

 

repackage all of rts deluxe wave 2, late pcc's, rts g1 legends, rts scouts,and the 2 late waves of generations in either DOTM packaging or the next classics line... hopefully DOTM:con

 

Not only would that be very wasteful and difficult, but it would probably raise the cost of the figures and they would become more shelfwarmers.

People did get a chance. He was released in stores! He's also been sitting in TJ Maxx and Marshalls since before Christmas. There were literally a pile of them on a table in the Marshalls down the street from me a few weeks ago. Go buy one at one of those stores (cheap) or pay more than it's worth buying it off Amazon or Ebay if you absolutely need it.
