I've been thinking - maybe this is actually the Ultimate Optimus Prime equivalent of Mega Power Bots Constructicon Devastator. That must be it.

The problem with that thought is that all forms of movie devaststor (sans legends) have been pretty pathetic. Also, the ROTF powerbots prime was actually kinda cool since it looked good, had pop out jetfire wings, and I believe also had some nifty sound gimmicks. If it is somehow true that this isn't the be all, end all, *qoutes* ultimate *quotes* optimus, then hasbro has crapped all over not only the main line of toys, but also the secondary figures aimed at younger kids (that was even possible??).

Don't be fooled. There WILL be a Transformers 4. Mr Bay's probably already planning it right now.

I wouldn't be surprised. The good news, though, is that hopefully it comes out after december 21 next year and the world will end before anyone has to suffer through it or another movie toyline that could be potentially even worse.

(I really loved the ROTF toyline and enjoyed the first movie and I'm saying this)

The only thing I see this thing transforming into is a shelf-warmer in the clearance section later on this year.

I'll give you a call on the 22 of December 2012. Sorry but the end of the world is a Western Invention of the end of the Mayan Calander. The Mayan's never predicted the end of the world. Want to try Nostradamus?

Michael Bay wont do a 4th TF film. And quite honestly a 4th film is bad for business. Stick with a Trilogy

As far as the DOTM toys? many will be skipped, some will be bought and the movieverse will be called complete

I'm sure there will be a fourth film. Either direct to video, or just another director. It's Bay's last film regardless.

And quite honestly a 4th film is bad for business.

How's that?

By then Transformers will have run its coarse and people will be tired of seeing them. The MovieVerse has achieved its own Cult status. So there will be a small percentage of people that will still see it, but the vast majority of the movie going populace will not want to see it. Plus I'm sure Michael Bay and Shia are done after the 3rd movie

It's Bay's last film regardless.

I wouldn't take anything Bay claims as set in stone . Especially if DOTM makes serious money.

What I'd like is a reboot like they're doing with the new Spiderman film, (though I'd prefer them to take their time about it). One thing you can say about the Bay movies, is that they've introduced Transformers to a much wider audience, and they do have some cool action scenes (Optimus rocks), and a few nice G1 homages (I actually like the Witwickys). Unfortunately, I can do without a lot of the 'humour' and 'funny' characters. Maybe I'm seriously old-fashioned, but I never expected to watch a Transformers film with my kids while making sure I had my fingers on the 'fast-forward button'.

Anyway, in a new Movie TF universe, we can have Optimus and Co already on Earth, and go from there.

I don't believe it at all either; I think the Mayans just ran out of room on their calendar. I wanted a good excuse for another bayverse movie to never come into existence :P

Bay wont do another TF Film, regardless of what DOTM does at the box office. People will be watching to see what Pirates Of The Caribbean : On Stranger Tides does at the box office. Since it is the 4th film of that franchise.

Then they will compare what DOTM brings in and decide if another film is worth the money. Which honestly from what we have seen so far for DOTM, It will be the big climax of the Trilogy

You know, with this being a major climax in this series, it would be possible to continue and do a minor reboot. After this massive invasion, the earth is going to be in trouble. It could be time to rebuild, with the Autobots help, as a "probably destroyed Megatron" finds a way back as Galvatron, or the Quints show up as an enemy ...there's quite a bit of possibility to continue, with a new cast, new director, new crew, but without starting from scratch.

I think The movie franchise should take some time off, maybe 5 years then pick up with Autobot City with Rodimus Prime and Galvatron.

Rebooting would be stupid and redundant
