The official unveiling of Transformers: Dark of the Moon continues with our first look at leader class Optimus Prime with trailer via io9. The movie version of the character was first seen during the Super Bowl trailer last night. The trailer transforms into a separate figure but also combines with Optimus Prime into something rather interesting. Take a look at the images after the jump. Read the Full News Story Here

Does Optimus Prime get stricken with Space Polio? The trailer looks nice all closed up, but man, that combine mode is just lousy. I would have left the trailer as a base and storage for the jet pack parts.

i just made myself sick.

looked forward to this one.

what was wrong with ROTF prime?

not alot for sure!

so why screw it all up and botch it up with some power ranger crap?

FAIL.

From all appearances, they should be concentrating on giving Optimus the best possible base mode (what's up with the forearms, and where they've decided to place the wheels?)...not giving him big-ass mosquito wings. Unless, of course, the Bayverse is truly more omnicidal than I ever dared dream, and it threatening to consume the BW Universe as well.

Man, that combined mode looks bad.

Pixie Prime... are they planning on doing a My Little Pony crossover?

FAIL

Looks horrible. Is this leader sized? Still happy with my movie one leader Prime.

:bored I'm going to sleep now; I'm going to sleep until the Prime toys hit shelves. I hope no one makes the mistake of trying to buy this toy while I'm out. :tflaugh

Sigh. There's nothing ultimate about it!!

Guess I'll wait and see if Fansproject will make a trailer for us.

looks like I wont be buying any DOTM transformers

Sigh. There's nothing ultimate about it!!

Guess I'll wait and see if Fansproject will make a trailer for us.

Ultimate FAIL perhaps?

I'll keep my ROTF Prime, thanks.
