The FAIL in this is now instead of Optimus Prime. He's Optimus Popeye. The wheels at his forearms should be at his foot/ankle area. I like the torso and the legs look nice. Alt mode is okay at best. MechTech holes ruin it. He now comes with a trailer that everybody wanted since the first movie but they botched that up in the combine mode by making him look like a mechanical fairy.

 

I couldn't really tell from the latest trailer but it looks like he didn't really change in appearance. If my observation is correct. It doesn't warrant a change in his mold. Especially since the his ROTF mold looked so damn good and movie accurate or at the very least extremely close. He's not bad looking but in comparison to the ROTF mold. They took a step back with this guy.

I wonder if the Trailer can combine with ROTF Optimus Prime?

i keep looking at hoping i'm dreaming. i hate not buying Prime's but sometimes, Hasbro puts shit out. Looks like i'll be skipping another one. Skipped Energon Prime and i got rid of Armada Leader Class prime. Did Hasbro not learn from that one?!!?

Will buy it just to customize my own backpack, but damn, it looks like they didn't even try when it came to his forearms.

I think something inside me just died... Is that really the best they could think up for combined mode? I think A/E/C prime was much better than this...

this actually reminds me of the dvd case prime from the first movie.....about as boxy as a dvd case too

this is one massive atrocity.. i mean, this is supposed to be more expensive than a leader figure and it looks like complete and utter garbage.

 

takara is probably thinking to themselves that a good paint job isn't going to polish this turd.

I am going to save so much money on new figures this next go around. I was hoping for awesome on this one. Instead we got ewwww!

hasbro REALLY needs to hire the people from fansprojects..

 

i mean.. they make trailers for figures that aren't even designed to have that trailer combine with them... everyone just step back for a second and think about what beautiful prime we'd get if they were able to modify hasbros rotf leader prime mold to accommodate a combining trailer.. man, that would surely be gorgeous.
