OK, fine, but then today I ALSO get the email about the "Exclusive Comic-Con Figures are Here! Plus, Free Shipping" and I click the link and the very first item is: Exclusive Transformers Masterpiece Grimlock Action Figure for $69.99 with free shipping, and, get this, it is IN STOCK!!!

 

So.... um... I'm confused. What, they want to make an extra $10, so they are going to make the people who preordered wait longer?

 

Ahhh so he says IN STOCK, but when you add to cart, he comes up as:

BACKORDER

I got back ordered as well. I already figured they were making us that decided to buy Grims via TRU/TRU.com wait a couple of weeks after SDCC to let those who attended get their kicks ETC. ETC.(or whatever mindset they are going for). Thinking about canceling the order since they decided a longer waiting period is in order for "Choose a reason", that which is most likely an under estimation of how popular they would be at the listed price(Vs. the Takara version and price) or just plain old laws of supply and demand.

 

Dunno, irks me somewhat but what can you do besides bitch about it on the inter-webs?

I got this as well. I agree, if they do this to those of us who ordered early, it will suck balls. I am thisclose to saying the hell with it and canceling, but I hardly ever get a chance to go to a Toys R Us store anymore so I will wait it out and hope they get their shit together.
