So a couple of weeks ago, my Target that I regularly go to has condensed their action figure section (not on clearance) to half-of-an-aisle and one wall. I kid you not! There is about one row (3 pegs in a vertical fashion) of Transformer RPM cars and that is it for the Transformer line, the same goes for Gi Joe as well. Are all the Targets like this? If so, is there a reason for this? It's like Target has decided to no longer carry action figures or something. God, I hope not! Btw: they replaced what's left of the action figure aisle with girls' toys. :redface

Probably in process of doing a restock / re-doing the aisle layout.

I stopped by mine, and they had all the RoTF TFs (Deluxes and FABs, at least.), and G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra on clearance.

That's the funny thing, I didn't see anything on clearance in that section. There was another a clearance section which had very few action figure related things too. I think you are right though. I think they are condensing until the new stuff arrives in a month or two in the Transformer, Gi Joe and Star Wars line; then it will go back to its normal aisle again. Heck, there was barely any sight of the cartoon toys for kids today.

Target always cleans house before a new figure release. It's a good move, out of all the major retailers, they tend to be the only one not backlogged.

Walmart hasn't changed much since Febuary, and only TRU is putting out the new pieces early.

When Target does hit though, they'll have everything show up overnight.

All my targets are bone dry ( NYC, North Jersey area ). I saw some new type of sticker on the pegs. Usually the sticker had the reorder or cancel numbers ,but this one looked like a reconfigure on the whole section.

Got a big huge empty space where the Transformers belong, none on clearance either

Just some Tuner Mudflaps and tumbleweed at my Target... *howling wind*

tons of turner Mudflaps and some Ha Skids and arcees

Even though I have a Target about 4 miles away from where I live. It's never that up to date. In fact I think I live in an area that recives the Transformers figures from china LAST. Let me explain.

All the figure are first made in China, so the first to get there is the Countrys around China, (which is why australia has already seen in stores the Power Core Combiners) but when they need to send stuff to the US, the closest place would be California. (That why they had the first sighting of ROTF Leader Jetfire.) Then after it's sent to California, the figures most east into the US eventually reaching me, down in the South East in Orlando FL, that is if some more figures don't get to me first from going across Europe, but that another story.

My point is that I do not see these figure untill WAY after it's been sold to the West of me. My TRU, Wall-Mart, K-mart, Target ETC has never even had a legends class Wheelie or Soundwave in stock yet. That's how far behind I am from the rest of you. Dang it! :damnit I feel like I will not SEE any of the Power Core Combiners untill 2011! :tfsad

I dont know about target... but my walmarts TF section has been empty except for like 4-5 dlx figures, 3 HA figures, and 3 voyagers for a while now. Also keep in mind the TF section is about as big as the one at TRU, so yeah it doesn't look good at all.

I asked around and apparently walmart does the christmas re-layout and puts out the new stuff the first week of august. Problem is... the shelf is basically empty and august is a whole month off, surely they wont let it sit there that long?
