i wouldn't mind a masterpiece movie prime, but i'd prefer a masterpiece hot rod, rodimus prime would be cool, but i'd prefer a hot rod (which i doubt would be the case)

I wonder if it'll be hot rod or rodimus prime.

Hopefully both as Optimus Timelord mentioned. Then I'll have to figure out what to rename my Alternator Hot Rod toy...

In all honesty, I have to say even though the figures are being slightly tweeked, I'm not gonna keep importing MPs. Hasbro seemed to endorce the line even if it's only as an exclusive.

I'd rather just wait and get them domesticly.

Outside of megatron (who I already have covered) I can't see why the rest won't show up. Grimlock is due out soon, ThunderCracker is inevitable.

I'm willing to bet MP-4 will arrive in a few years for Transformers 30th. In terms of MP releases, thats not really to long of a wait.

 

As for the "sleep", "ghost", "black" reissues, I can honestly live without them.

Since Hot Rod and Rodimus look ulitimately the same, they would probably play it safe by making Rodimus Minor, then have an upgrade for a trailer. If Takara/Hasbro doesn't do it that way then Fan Projects probally will. But if the theory is correct about Leaders, then Rodimus Prime would have to be the ONE and only one....with the exception of repaints.

 

With the earlier comment about a "Pepper" version, why don't we call MP-02(Ultra Magnus) a Anti-Hate Plague Optimus, cause that 2 part episode he gets sprayed with the special melted down metal....just a thought.

 

 

 

PS: MP Rodimus....should he come with matrix, or will Takara/Hasbro make you just use the one from your MP OP?....why would you need two MOL?

I don't own it, but if I did i would never consider it "Ultra" Magnus, just plain Magnus. There is nothing "Ultra" about that white Prime repaint. Then again, Hate Plague Prime works as well.

All white Prime UM to me are plain Magnus, so I agree. If there isn't an upgrade armor like with City Commander & G1, or something to make him stand out on his like the awesomeness of Titanium, RID, or even Animated, the figure is just Magnus on my shelves.

The two robots do look similar at a quick glance, but they do have obvious diffrences when you actual take a look.
