I have no problem attempting to ask Hasbro stuff. I just wonder if it's worth it when even after a question makes it through the rigorous screening process they can still choose to simply ignore it. Sorry, I'm still a little irked they completely disregarded they question pertaining to vulgarity and sexual content in the movies. It was a valid question that deserved an answer. There's a certain degree of dickishness that comes into play when you abide by their rules and still get blown off.

You are absolutely in the right to be fuming. If you're this upset, can you imagine how the people in charge of choosing the questions here, to have it blown off?

Unfortunately, we have to dance very lightly around these rules and regulations, only to learn that another site blatantly blew through these guidelines and Hasbro answered the question. The next round, we decide to ask something bolder, and that question is simply ignored.

While I understand their reasons for having these guidelines, it is hard to know which ones they will answer and which months they feel like answering the bolder ones.

I think each site gets different guidelines. Seibertron.com has always been bold, AllSpark and TFW2005 always brown nose hasbro. Thats how thye have always been able to get away with it

Do you think it would be possible to get Hasbro to agree to the submission of a third queston that could function as an alternate in the event that one of the original two is deemed unfit for answering? A, uh, Miss Congeniality inquiry if you will?

I can't account for the submissions from other sites. However, some of the questions that get posted here are doomed from the start. The following questions probably won't get answered:

Mythology

Movie related

Unannounced future product

Here's what I think WILL get answered:

Past product offerings

History related to Hasbro and their marketing of TF (note: NOT canon or mythology!)

Present product offerings and merchandising

Suggestions for future product offerings and merchandising

I can't stress enough how they won't answer questions about product that hasn't been officially declared yet (READ: product that hasn't been announced to the mass public). Likewise, they will dance around any mythology or movie related questions. Mythology... because between Marvel, IDW and Dreamwave, there's too much incontinuity. Movie... because that's pretty much left to Michael Bay/Paramount.

Based on previous Q&A, that's my take on the matter. If you simply leave your questions to things that Hasbro is in control of (licensing and product), you won't be disappointed.

Seems to me like anything "Hasbro is in control of" you guys already have covered before the Q&A ever comes up. Guess I wasted my question.

You can always change it!

Not true at all. My post was an editorial piece and has nothing to do with the deal between Tformers and Hasbro. That deal is not my responsibility. Heck, I don't even know what that deal entails. I was simply going off of past experience as read in the threads. Seriously, what do you expect from Hasbro? That's like asking Dodge the mythos behind Dukes of Hazard or asking Best Buy if Samsung is going to have a 40" OLED TV next year.

Heres the difference, Dodge didn't come up with Dukes of Hazard.

And while we're at it, a store like TRU does know what exclusives they'll have for this year as reported here last year.

What I expect from Hasbro is if they're actualy going to humor us by answering questions and aknowledging us as collectors and customers give us more then aimless form answers on the questions we're "allowed" to ask.

Just saying.
