MP Ironhide: NO, should be a Binaltech or something equivalent

 

MP Shockwave: YES (even though we already have a Binaltech version)

 

MP Bumblebee: NO, we already got Alternity Bumblebee

I wouldn't mind a proper henkei g1 galvatron or MP galvatron. Whats sad is the fact that it doesn't take a brain surgeon to design a modern version of g1 galvatron.

Honesty I love MPs so much I'd be more then happy to pay $100 once or twice a year for new MPs.

As long as they keep up the quality I don't care what characters they use. How about Inferno/Grapple? I think those could be pretty neat...

 

It would be kind of neat to get a MP 3-pack that would include Alternator/Binaltech sized toys. With MP toys going for about $100, the price would come out about right.

Maybe the Insecticons, or three of the Dinobots. Or three G1 car characters that didn't get represented as Alternators like Bumblebee, Ironhide, and Trailbreaker.

 

Man, no one cares for the Insecticons or Trailbreaker, especially at the MP level. Classics at best. That's like asking for a MP Erector.

No one = the market as a whole.

Let's think about which ones could get recolored the most, that will influence things.

 

Soundwave - G1 Blue and Twincast Black

Hot Rod/Rodimus - G1 red/orange, Marvel Primus gold, black for Shattered Glass

Galvatron - G1 toon purple, G1 toy grey/purple, Marvel blue/purple, and Charr lava red and black

Ironhide - G1 red and movie black, slightly remolded head and lights for Ratchet in white and movie green

Shockwave - G1 purple and Radioshack grey

Bumblebee - G1 yellow, Gold/blue Goldbug, blue Glyph, white BugBite, remold as G1 Cliffjumper red, Tapout teal

MP Ginrai/PM Prime - G1 Ginrai, red hands PM Prime, black Nucleon Quest, Red/Orange FireGuts, new Godbomber mold and repeat

Scorponok/Zarak - G1 purple/green, black/red black Zarak, green/orange Energon Scorponok

 

Now, I'm relatively certain that Takara won't do an MP BB unless they can get the VW Bug rights. MP's are too much about getting the G1 look right to do some generic car. I also think they'll stick to characters that have at least SOME following on in the US in addition to being popular in JP on the hopes that they can get Hasbro to release it. So no JP exclusive characters or characters like the 7-changers that didn't get American canon stories.

 

I'd guess Rodimus/Galvatron is the next pairing, especially with it being 2010 and all. Although as a Marvel fan I'd love PM Prime and Scorp to go with Grimlock. It's the Furmann triumvirate!

The next MP will probably be Gears.

Can you remember any times when Soundwave had a different display on his chest screen? This is for my MP custom. So far I've got the rocket schematics from the first ep of the G1 toon, but if you can think of anymore please let me know!
