Understand, G2 was in the 90's wich wasn't all flannels and oversized coats. To much of it looked like this

Now, the tall hair and bright shirts weren't my style, but they were very popular. You was 'flava' if you had some orange overalls, pair of Euroban kicks, and a 8Ball jacket!

So here's the thing, yeah if I saw these figures mass released I'd die myself. I can aprechiate them though as a throw back among rarities to a Transformers line that still has some of the rarest figures.

I wouldn't spend on any of these, and seeming as I have no BotCon figures that isn't saying much. I can however give a laugh to a forgotten piece of nostaligia.

I also can't help but think the guy who crapped out right away in the dance off is Electro :P

HA!! your on a roll :yay :party

I think what I like the most about Breakdown is the grid decal with the heavy drops over it. THAT was some 90s 'ish'

Then why stop when you can

I think the TFCC is being unfair to G2, if that makes any sense. They are using some of the really crazy stuff as inspiration for the BotCon toys. The club is not helping matters by taking one of the dullest Universe molds, Inferno, and not even giving it a new head-sculpt.

Then why stop when you can

HAHA......and all you listeners out there the lines are open for requests!! For one nite and one nite only!!!! M.C EVILMUS!!

BREAKDOWN = Sweet

Well...personally I'm excited about them. I'm not going to Botcon as my son is being born not long before but I have someone picking a set up for me. As far as the colors etc....if they make your eyes hurt or your physically nauseous from it...the designers that came up with the idea have already said that they did exactly what they were planning on doing. They have completely caught the flavor and fun of G2. Besides...this isn't anything different than what they did back then...repainting G1 figures with bright colors etc.

Just do what I do. Don't buy them, There are only 2 figures in the G2 line I liked Tank Megatron and Laser Rod Optimus. outside of those none of them are worth it.

idk man, I like that BB & Starscream repaint in the black and teal. you cant hate on that one.

Even the Skyquake and Thunder Clash repaint in Machine Wars was pretty cool. (is that considered G2? hell it was in Europe right?)

At the time G2 came out, I was just so happy to see all of the original molds they were using (prime, jazz, grimlock etc.) that I didn't really care one bit how out there the colors were. And I still don't---honestly, I don't think this Spark's alt mode is that outlandish compared to some of the real fire trucks I've seen before. Yeah a little, but not too much. I'll give you that his head and other parts are a little bright, but you know, I've seen much worse over the years.

I agree with that. G2 is what it is. Frankly, I find the over-sized missile launchers to be far more offensive now than any of the color schemes.

I never knew about the Spark toy until now. I actually like that toy a lot more than the repaint of Universe Inferno.
