MY SISTER SAID IF I GET ONE MILLION FANS SHE WILL NAME HER BABY MEGATRON

Recommended Posts

TRUE STORY!!!

A friend from high school actually convinced his wife to let him name their first born son...ORION PAX! The little guy is first name Orion, middle name Pax, and then of course has a normal last name, and he's almost two years old now. And what makes it even better, is the grand parents (and most other people he knows) have NO IDEA what it's based on, LOL! I haven't spoken to him in a couple years, and when my mother (our parents are friends and keep in touch through church) told me his son's name and "how unusual it is..." I busted up laughing in disbelief, so I had to explain to my own parents who he was named after. I then emailed him saying "I can't believe you named your child after a Transformer" to which he replied he was proud of me for even knowing, lol. We TFans are a crazy bunch!

That Voltron girl is the BEST PICTURE EVER.

And if that woman does name her kid Megatron...maybe it will be a girl, and everyone will just know her as Meg? If it's a boy, then will be no hiding it! :tflaugh

not for nothing my friends named there kid Ganon cause it's canon but with a G.

Tracey would have foulght it, but the alternate was some Star Wars crap and she picked the lesser of the 2 evils.

I think people under estimate how much a million is.

That said.. if it happens... I think the anti-christ will have just been born.

well yeah, in 1 day it's up 250,000.

You can look at it as a change in significance in numbers, OR you can see it as how quick the meer mention of The Emporer of Destruction will rally troops :P

Yah know, I can't say that naming y'r kid Megatron would be any worse than naming y'r children after Star Wars Characters or Comic Book Characters! That said, I think Megatron is one of the better names compared to some... though Ultra Magnus wouldn't be a bad choice either... or Omega Supreme, Superion, Onslaught, Jazz, Hot Rod,(I could totally see that one happening if it hasn't already), Skyfire(Perhaps with a different spelling like Sky Fyre?) the worst thought would be Starscream cause you know the kid'll grow up with delusions of grandeur!!!

a friend of mine wanted to change his middle name to Starscream when his imigration papers came in. I told him it was bad enough his dad thought Jimmy Baker would be a good name :P

In the end, he kept his Korean name.

And the limit has been reached!

And the limit has been reached!

Yeah! I just checked on it, it's past 1 mil now.

Before my son was born, I use to joke with my wife about calling him Megatron. Then I was going to raise him to be a judge so ever time he entered court the bailiff would have to say, all rise for Megatron.

In all seriousness, I think it's very selfish to give your kid a ridiculous name like Megatron, Ganon, etc. Maybe it's cool for the parents, and might be sorta cute when the kid is very young, but think about what will happen in school. I'd expect a lot of bullying. And later in life...imagine sending out a resume that says Megatron on it. At the very least, it will be a name the kid will have to spend the rest of his life explaining to every single person he/she meets.

Imagine if your own parents named you after a cartoon character they liked while growing up in the 50's/60's. Do you think it would be cool?
