Transformers Rituals

Recommended Posts

Lessee...

+ I always wear Transformers apparel. When I'm at work (as I am now) I wear a Transformers belt, Transformers wrist watch, and in the colder months I'll wear a Transformers neck tie. I also wear a Transformers cap if I'm outdoors. Outside of work I'll wear a Transformers shirt, wrist watch and hat. Sometimes I'll also wear Transformers shorts or track pants. I also always carry around a Transformers backpack. My keyholders have Transformers logos/images on them. I also wear Transformers jackets in colder months. I could be going out with friends or ducking out to buy a carton of milk - no matter what I'm decked out in Transformers gear.

+ My computer monitor at work has a Decepticon insignia sticker on it. There's a G1 Bumblebee (KT) figurine and Autobot pencil sharpener that sits beneath it. I have a Transformers Animated pencil case that I take to class, and my mark book has both an Autobot and Decepticon insignia on it. My work laptop has a sticker of Optimus Prime as well as Autobot and Decepticon insignias on the outer casing. The carry case has an Autobot and Decepticon insignia. The inside of the laptop has an Autobot and Decepticon insignia above the screen.

+ My car has an Autobot insignia on the back, sides and two on the front.

+ I usually bring a Transformer toy with me when I go out (but not to work). Although I am considering giving this up because on a few occasions my toys get damaged. My ROTF Bludgeon recently got a few scratches because I accidentally left him on the roof of my car (ouch). Or I might just stick to bringing along small cheap toys like Legends. :P

+ My daughter's pram has a Bumblebee and Optimus Prime stickers on the handle. She also always has Slumblebee and Softimus Prime to play with (in fact, Softimus Prime was in the delivery room when she was born - and yes, I was wearing a Transformers T-shirt and jacket during her birth. When I held her for the first time I showed Softimus Prime to her and told her that he would be her guardian. :)).

+ I am going to make Transformers my official religion. In the next national census I'm going to put "Transformers" down as my religion (I've previously put "Jedi," but I'm going to convert to Transformers). I've accepted Optimus Prime as my personal saviour (he died for the salvation of humanity and rose again from the dead - across multiple continuities!) and I'm currently reading "Transformers And Philosophy". And hey, since science cannot definitively disprove the existence of Transformers (they could be living among us now in disguise!) or Cybertron (originally from Alpha Centauri which we haven't explored, and it's also been knocked out of it's orbit so it could be anywhere in the universe atm) or Primus etc. -- since science cannot prove any of these things to be untrue, then it is perfectly reasonable for me to believe that they are! :D (Celestial Teapot'd!)

Transformers: more than a hobby, it's a way of life! :)

I realized the other night that I do have a ritual when out looking for new figures---I sneak up on them, so to speak. That is, I'll go into the aisle where they are, but I'll look at everything else in the aisle first, and then turn around for the big reveal, so I get wowwed with new TF stuff all at once. It's like I'm saving them for myself or something---weird.

i do this every time i get a new figure.

i little background*

i used to be addicted to oxycontin, then decided to get clean. and instead of going through terrible withdraw i take a pill that gets rid of my need to use and allows me to ween myself off.. anyways. i have to let the thing dissolve in my mouth..

so, every night after i take my pill i open the figure. with deluxe figures i cut around the sides, take the bubble off, pull out the figure in the plastic. then i take out the twist ties, with each twist tie i twist up each of them. take the figure out, throw away the trash, put the card with the rest of my cards.. then transform the figure. i do the same with voyager figures except i toss the whole box.

i carry around g1 laserbeak in my pocket at all times....when i go toy hunting i usual always wear a TF shirt...and switch out laserbeak for ravage...when im successful i bring my toy home, and sit and listen to the japanese release of the "master of puppets" cd...while opening said toy... :hbang

Hardcore!

poor laserbeak has gotten alot of wear and tear over the years bumping into everything in my pockets....hes a trooper though.....seems to be a decent good luck charm to..him and ravage both
