The Twin's faces

Recommended Posts

Has it been confirmed as to why the Twins look how they look? What's the deal with their faces? I dont get it. I can buy the corny tryna be gangsta bit but why are they ugly?

toss Wheelie in there too.

It's funny though. In the special features they brought the twins up. They said something like "at the end of the first film when Optimus sent his message into space, the twins where the last type of bot he was hoping would show up" They went on to say that "they're screw ups trying to prove themselves, but they're still screw ups"

Maybe that right there is the reason why they had a look that you just cant take seriously.

Not for nothing, I wish alot of the other bots had some screen time too, but the twins grew on me. I like them. I don't think they're racist characters as I know all types of people from all walks of life who act alot like them.

i posted this in theallspark.com

"i like their heads, pretty much all of the transformers have heads that visually resemble their personalities.

the twins aren't very smart - their heads are goofy

prime is very honorable and noble - very samurai/regal looking head

bumblebee is a bit young and can't speak - roundish head, big blue eyes, and no mouth

sideswipe is very cool - his head sort of looks like slicked back hair

ironhide is very tough and strong - his head sort of resembles a bull

jolt uses electricity - jolts head looks like he stuck his finger into an outlet and his head panels stuck up

jetfire is old and grumpy - his head/face looks like it has a beard and what not

the fallen was the first bad guy, the first decepticon - his head looks like the decepticon emblem

and as for the rest of the decepticons.. they all just look menacing.. which they are."

it's just my theory.

I think the Bug Eyes, Stepin Fetchit faces not to mention the Gold Buck-Tooth just complemented their "personalities"...but that's just me.

I don't care for the faces, but at least they don't have "ball gag" look of Bumblebee.

Because they're the love children of Optimus Prime and Elita-1; Robo-inbreeding!

Homer: "What a minute, are you two brother and sister?!"

Brandine: "We's all kind of things."

(The Simpsons)

Actually, I don't remember if it was mentioned in the book, or simply what I assumed. (at my age things start to get confusin') But I think it's that they were early experiments in combination technology. Needless to say, those two didn't quite come out right.

Makes sense but this movie was just like the G1 toon. A whole bunch of stuff going on and nothing explained. So yeah, this movie was finally super G1. Pretenders, combiners, twins, Hatchlings, The Fallen's Base, A million Constructicons.....

I'll always say it, just because they don't take the time to explain every little detail doesn't mean you can't have a little fun with it and simply use your imagination. Sure I've had plenty of questions myself during the movie, but I do my best to let my own imagination work a bit when needed. I think the more imaginative a person is, the easier it is to like this movie and movies like this. Those less imaginative will never get it.

Sure, it would be nice if every movie we see could tie up all these little loose ends, but when it comes to big action then you have to be willing to let a bit of that go. If we took all the time to explain all the hows and whys of everything then everyone would be screaming about there not being enough of the bots or not enough action. I think it's a damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.

I'm not gonna say I didn't enjoy the movie but when Megatron Flew out the water straight to the Fallen when he wasn't mentioned at all in the first movie....I was like WTF?! I expected him to be unearthed. He's been Megatron's "Master" this whole time and Optimus didn't know of him at all?! WTF!! Everything else I can let fly but WTF?! I enjoyed the movie. After Prime died, I admit, I was bored to death just like when I try to watch the G1 movie again. lol.
