I know many signs will probably point to our favorite devourer of planets as being the main antagonist in the third film, but with Devastator and a whole lot of separate Constructicons out of the way, how does everyone else think about the Stunticons being introduced? Seeing the Motormaster Semi-truck thread ( http://forums.TFormers.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=119832 awesome work btw!) got me thinking. I wasn't so crazy with how they executed Devastator. I didn't mind the look/aesthetics they gave him, I just think they shouldn't have used such large vehicles because they made him TOO BIG.

 

I am just dreaming of a chase scene where we see Prime driving down one highway and Motormaster (as a car carrier, think Evil Ultra Magnus) driving down the opposite end,(almost like KITT vs KARR FTW!!!) then all of a sudden all the cars on his trailer drive off, transform into legs and arms and viola! Menasor!

 

I could see this as a quick action sequence somewhere in the middle of the film, similar to the forest scene.

 

I know most of us have been used to the Decepticons being "war machines" but I am hoping with the ass whipping the Decepticons took at the end of ROTF will make them actually stick the whole "Robots in Disguised" Transformers motto. The public knows of their existence now, and with how easy Devastator (the real one!) was defeated with the use of a rail gun, I would think the Decepticon's would be a bit more, I dunno, deceptive in their war against the Autobots and humans. Its a lot easier to disguise yourself as cars/trucks you see everyday. Yeah it didn't work for Sideways, but what they hell, you can't win them all.

 

I know its probably just wishful thinking on my part, but I would love to see an evil version of Prime, not named Scourge or Nemesis Prime. Although their toys and characterization were completely different, I always felt like Motormaster was a great doppelganger to Prime, albeit in vehicle mode only. Semi vs Semi.....only evil Semi cheats by combining. What do you guys think?

And yeah, I wouldn't mind Menasaur in TF3 as long as toywise we don't get shafted like we did with Devistator.

The scene you described is pure awsome, though menasor would end up just as useless as devastator was in this film.

Menasaur would be about as tall Jetfire or Megatron

I think Menasor would be great, it's been far too long since we've seen him or Motormaster in some form. I also think he'd be a much more effective gestalt, whereas Devastator was too large to really do anything but suck stuff up. If the Twins can beat your ass then there is a major design flaw somewhere. I think a smaller gestalt with a high energy boost from being a combiner would be cooler. Jetfire was still pretty tall so if he gets that big I'll be cool with it.

 

I just want a new Menasor set. You got Bruticus, Devastator and Superion all over the place. Must have new Menasor, Defensor, Abominus and Predaking!

I think the Predacons would work better in Transformers 3 then the Stunticons. Still it would be cool to see Menasor. I'm still hoping for the Dinobots. At least 3 or 4 of them.

Predaking would be awesome to see but who knows how that would work out. A bunch of animalistic Cons around the size of Ravage wouldn't make for a very big bot, but still cool. I think Abominus would fit incredibly well within the Bayverse. Their monstrous forms could be interpreted in an acceptable fashion as simple horrible demonic looking alien monstrosities, and they could be any size.

Considering that the secret is out and the public knows about them, there's really nothing to be so stealthy about in choosing an alternate form, so the Dinobots would be a welcome addition to the movie-verse. Or any other animal based TF group/individual. The Terrorcons, the Seacons, Ramhorn, Steeljaw, Overkill, Slugfest, Laserbeak, Buzzsaw. Sky Lynx would be a cool addition to the team. Like Ravage and Scorponok, the beast form is his robot mode with something else being his vehicle {and this will work for those who want another beast bot type, but don't want an animal alt mode and a robot mode mixed up with all the vehicles [terrestrial (Autobots and some of the Decepticons) or alien (Megatron)]}.

I say YES!!

Just because the secret's out doesn't negate the need for disguise. We all know that spies, sleeper agents and ninjas are real, yet you don't see these people publicly exposing themselves on a regular basis (unless they're about to keeeeell you!)

 

Menasor (f*** I nearly mispelt that as "Menasaur"!) wouldn't have the same impressive size or bulk as Devastator, even with a big rig truck as Motormaster. Cars just don't bulk up like construction vehicles... like the dump truck that they used for Long Haul... phwoar! In real life those trucks aren't even road legal, they actually disassemble them and transport them in pieces only to reassemble them on construction sites! Ditto Scavenger. :) The only way they'd get around it is to have more vehicles, and there were already nine Constructicons that form Devastator (there's a yellow dump truck and yellow construction shovel who appear in the movie but have never been named nor have any action figures ever been made of them)... for Menasor to be of a comparable or greater size than Devastator he'd had to have what... a dozen or more vehicles?!?

 

Another thing is I'd like to see a greater variety of alt modes in the movie. One thing I liked about the Constructicons is that it gave us construction vehicles! I also like a lot of the kitchen and appliance bots. We've got plenty of cars and military vehicles, I'd like to see more variety. I'd personally really like to see real beast moded Transformers - like Alice! Oooh, they could give us movie Tripredacus! Although you wouldn't use insects cos they'd be too small... unless say an entire swarm of cicadas or locusts combined and transformed to form say Cicadacon (like how all those little bb's formed Reedman). Although that would be a beeotch to realise as a toy. :P But they could get away with other animals - a movie Magnaboss is possible. :)

 

But I agree with what Liege Evilmus said; if they do make another gestalt, whatever its theme is, they really should design it nice and early and give the designs to Hasbro ASAP. The excuse I've heard from Hasbro is that they didn't have enough time to develop a proper set of Constructicons at Deluxe/Voyager size that can both transform and merge, so they released them as separate sets (boooo). I don't know if I fully buy this excuse (considering that TakaraTOMY gave us EZ Collection Devastator shortly after the movie came out), but at least if Paramount did the right thing by Hasbro and gave them the designs early, they wouldn't be able to use that excuse again (and so in _theory_ would be able to give us proper toys).
