ROTF doesn't even compare to District 9. What an :awsum movie :yay The CGI was fantastic and the movie had a very interesting story line. What really added the icing on the cake for me was the

carnage and the kickass weapons that contributed

:drool. Must see it again.

Welcome to the club guys!

And yes,

Pig launcher FTW!

Ok heres another question to throw on you guys in term of better Sci Fi movie. The only other major contender this year that I can think of other then D9 and ROTF is Star Trek. So what of it? What do you guys think? Who won out in this triangle of doom?

Well, I'm gonna let Star Trek and D9 duke it out; mostly for the fact Star Trek didn't have me going "...Why the hell are those dogs humping, again?" yet, written by the same guys...but I think D9 would win in terms of originality; since Star Trek was a series reboot, and RoTF was a sequel to a kinda-reboot.

Location:Virginia, USA
Interests:Basically a big fan of animation. I watch the crap cartoons and the good ones. I am not very picky when it comes to animation. I watch all forms of animation from stop motion to anime to old school cartoons. I also enjoy several Vertigo comics like Fables and Sandman. A few other comics would be Walking Dead, Spectacular Spiderman, and Azu Manga Daioh. I am pretty well versed in gaming and have played too much to be proud of. I need to read some more books.

Between District 9 and Star Trek? I would have to say District 9. While Star Trek was fun, it really was just another action movie. I was invested with the District 9 characters more so then Star Trek. District 9 also had something to say with its setting and a lot more thought provoking. Like any movie should, it should leave you wanting more.

I'm just curious as to what you guys think. I haven't seen Star Trek for myself... yet. Regardless I'm not a Trekkie like my mother and father.
