I went to the midnight release of Transformers last night and was very excited about seeing it as I am a big fan. I was barely able to sit through the whole movie. It was rude, vulger and a complete insult to long time fans. Now don't get me wrong I really liked the first live action movie but the first movie did not go out of its way to destroy all morals the Transformers have stood for over the last 25 years. I was so insulted and felt like the last 25 years had been waisted if this is what was to become of the TF franchise. The whole movie was full of needless sexual references and negative language mostly from the Autobots and humans who are supose to represent the moral compass of the story. However in Revenge of the Fallen I was actually ruting for the decepticons to destroy everyone so we no longer had to listen to or watch another humping or testical scene. If you have children and do not want to have to explain why two dogs and a robot are humping throughout the movie, don't go see it. I can go on and on about how dissapointed I am but instead let me wrap this up by saying,

 

 

 

It is very sad that Optimus prime, Optimus Prime is depicted as a heroic, brave and compassionate character who puts all his talent to use to improve the world around him. Optimus has a strong sense of justice and righteousness, and has dedicated himself to the protection of all life, no longer represents what he use too.

Well, that's Bay for you. He _is_ known for explosions and T&A, so I'd expect nothing less from him.

 

Of course, given that this movie is so critically panned, I'm not going to go out of my way to put money in Bay's pocket, just because I'm a Transformers fan. Again, I stand by my principles: Hasbro _will_ get my money, but Bay won't. Not anymore.

Er, I doubt if they've cared much about the franchise beyond the bottom line. I honestly think any intelligence injected into the franchise is because the writers cared about Transformers. Bay obviously doesn't. Why else resort to toilet humor, unless you can't make your audience care about your giant transforminable robots?

 

My advice is, buy the DVDs of G1, BW and TFA, and do a TF marathon with your kids. I do the same with my niece; she enjoys watching both G1 and TFA.

I have all the other TF stuff including the comics and bla bla bla, i just really wish the new movie was not so bad. If they had left out all the toilit trash it would have been a great movie but as it was that crap ruined the whole movie....

It is sad that you get banned from the SB for not doing anything wrong other than stating what you believe without harming anyone.

Its Bay what do you expect? I agree though about the numerous sex jokes and needless bit of sexual content found that to be the most boring if not annoying part of the movie. The swearing didn't bother me but the twins did. "wannabe ganstas" please. :roll So like the first movie if there wasn't robot action I found it to be a snooze......
