If Michael Bay leaves, everyone thinks that it's going to be so easy to replace him. When thinking about this, I go back to a movie franchise that started in 89. The original is considered a classic. The sequel was also a good film. Then they had a change in director, and with that change, a change in look. The third film in the series was watchable, where as the fourth film killed the franchise.

If you haven't figured out what film franchise I'm talking about, ask Christopher Nolan if he would have had a chance to make Batman Begins if Batman & Robin and Joel Schumacher didn't destroy the work that Tim Burton did.

Replacing a director is not easy. The new director will want to put their spin on the material, and 9 times out of 10, the new film will be nowhere near as good as the originals.

Who knew a grown man could cry so much. Seriously Bay grow a pair.

:lol :rofl :lol

You guys are all dicks seriously. What Micheal Bay did to the Transformers franchise is amazing. You guys need to grow a pair seriously and stop complaining about all the little changes Bay made to all the characters. G1 sucked anyways, the voice acting was bad and the robots all looked the same.

Michael Bay... Is that you?... LOL...

I don't think it's impossible, but I am inclined to say REBOOT...regardless of what you think of a particular director. If we're changing writers & director, then I'd almost rather see a whole new continuity...new story, new actors, the whole shabang!

I'm kinda thinkin' BS as well, BUT...if true...it's time for a J.J. Abrams reboot!

Even MORE shaky camera work and only ten seconds of focused shots on the Transformers at the end while humans run around the wreckage of Mission City?

With polar bears?

I respect Michael Bay because he turned Transformers into an even bigger pop culture juggernaut than it was before. I know people who never watched the old cartoon and never cared about the toys who have gushed over how awesome a movie the first film was.

Would the first movie had been as good with someone other than Bay at the helm? That's like asking if "The Dark Knight" would have done as great if Heath Ledger hadn't died--we'll never really know. It's all opinion.

Sounds like someone is beginning his campaign to get even more money to direct Transformers 3.

This is stupid Bay. I know this will be a joke. And if it is, it's a bad one.

If not, Steven Speilburg should take over, after all, it was his idea in the first place to make a live action movie. Bay did some interesting things though in these films (such as Devastator for example).

BTW, the 1986 film was cool. No extreme bashing or I bash you over the head with Skids. J/K.

I kind of wish that Michael Bay had directed the G.I. Joe movie as well. Is that weird?

Good, I hate the movies.

were gonna have a director that will put no explosions, no good plot lines or anything TF related into the third movie if their will be a third movie i say thank you because we lost a great TF movie director!

(emphasis is mine)

Well, we can agree that Bay brought explosions to the movie...
