Leader Jetfire

I heard he was to be released in August. Though he has been popping up here and there like so many other wave figures. I can't wait to get him but I can honestly wait, give me some time save up some cash for him.

Seeing that the Chinese sellers have him MISB tells me it'll be 3-4 weeks until he hits retail. That's how it worked out with Prime and Megatron. (Even though there were early leaks of those two in April.)

Once the sellers really had a bunch on hand (like they do with Jetfire, now.) it was about a month before retail. (And plenty of stores had their stock before the streetdate, as evidenced by the countless "Oh noes! They broke the date!!11!" posts.)

So, really, we should be seeing him about a month, tops.

ughh.. i've always had a great experience with BBTS.. i bought the wonderfest exclusive binaltech nemesis prime.. i saw there was a tiny scratch on the figure and they sent me a new one.. their customer service is the best around. also.. when you buy some figures you can check a box that says collector grade so that the box isn't messed up. also when you buy figures there is a notice that says "only substandard available".. so i doubt they deliberately messed up the box. I've bought tons of figures from them and the packaging for the figures have ALWAYS been perfect. (and i never check the collectors grade box) and whenever i have had a problem with a figure or anything they always go above and beyond and make the process as easy as possible.

anyways.. i think it's stupid for people to purchase figures from them that are going to be released soon and will be on store shelves everywhere very soon. i mean.. i never understood why people buy figures off the internet when they're going to be in stores a couple weeks before or after you get them from whatever site. first you have to pay the inflated price, then you have to pay for shipping, then you have to wait for it to be shipped, then wait for it to get to your house, you don't get a chance to check out the figures paint applications, you can't check to see if all of it's pieces are there, and you can't see if anything is broken.. it just makes no sense to me to buy mass release figures from the internet unless you live in a country where they're not mass released or if it's an older figure that isn't on shelves anymore.

and rotf primes' transformation really isn't complicated.. pull down the legs, collapse them together, pull the arms to the side, connect the chest to the body, and collapse the back.. simple.

i like the look of the prime combination.. i just wish it was more accurate.. they need something to wrap around the feet and i wish the shoulder panels were much smaller.

"Ugh"? Really? ;=| Anyway...

You missed the point. Their sales are for overstock and substandard items. When my friend and I bought our figures during the sale, there was no option for collector grade, standard, substandard, whatever. It wasn't there. But! No one had told us beforehand, that the items were less than mint.

They will work with you to find the best possible box (or figure), but they're all "scratch and dent" or items people don't give a shit about, during those sales.

No one said BBTS deliberately messed up the box. (Don't put words in my mouth.)

And no one was faulting their customer service. In general, they handle things the absolute best.

Well, aside from getting it earlier and having bragging rights...some people will NEVER see new figures in their location, so they *must* order them over the internet if they want all of the figures. Distribution has been terrible since Energon.

It's not stupid, genius. It's sensible when the buyer knows they'll never see that figure at retail. (It happens all the time!)

It's sensible when the buyer can't get to the store for whatever reason. (It's brought right to you.)

It's sensible so you're not wasting precious time (which cannot ever be replaced), gas money, and wear and tear on you and your vehicle.)

But you think it's stupid. You're entitled to that opinion, but just so you know, you're made a million people facepalm themselves until the skulls sunk in. Because Ron White's right. "You can't fix stupid!" and this post is one of the biggest cases of it, I've seen in a looooong time.

I agree, distribution in both Hasbro and the retailers hands is pathetic. If they were to sort it out Online orders would fall.

I found this out last night and promptly did so. However, to tide me over, I picked up Legends Prime and Jetfire who also combine, albiet not in great detail. But it's still kinda fun.

I wish I would have known earlier, but either way I have to wait until monday when I get paid to pre-order him( if he's still in stock online). I find everything else that people are looking for ie superion etc, but no Jetfire. I thought about buying his legends or his RR but I figured I'd put that money to "good" use.
