I have not bought energon yet or universe.I have been buying the G-1 re-issue's,alternator's and classic wwe wrestling figure's.

The best example i have is the Walmart exclusive Dinobots.

The small figures are so light and cheap feeling.

 

I have bootleg of the same figures and they are twice as heavy and the joints are much better.

I got Univers Sunstorm the other day, knees are a little loose (glob of silicone'll fix that) but other than that he's pretty solid. The street minicons are another story though.

Where did you get yours?

 

The paint on mine is pretty solid including the cockpit but if it did chip whats the color underneath?

 

I was thinking transparent red in which case I'd get all of the paint off.

 

It would look cool!

Got three universe figures so far, with two others currently on their way. Razorclaw is perfect, well accept for the fact that his canons have a hard time staying locked away. Silverbolt is also good, but Optimus Primal...

 

I also own the original Primal and the universe version is clearly a different and inferior plastic. Furthermore, when transforming the beasthead, it almost always snap of. This has never happened with the original. The whole thing feels indeed like one of the (better) knock offs

 

Hope the others of this line will be of better quality plastic, since there are some figures upcoming that I'm interested in.

I got my Skywarp at Walmart. Triceradon and Skywarps were all $5! Picked up Landmine for $19 (Can you believe it!!!! ) lol apparently a scanner error but hey I was happy!.

 

When the paint chipped, just a small bit, it seems to be the orange plastic with the glitter in it.

Prolly a dumb department manager..i remember when armada was ending..the department manager at my store put every transformer on clearance even unicron got down to $12 dollors..then i guess someone besides me told her that they where still gonna sell em till the new ones (energon) came in.

lol Can't complain though. If we get the figures we want at a freakin cheap price that allows us to buy more....... Doesn't get much better.
