I had no idea what he looked like when I went out looking yesterday...haven't really paid much attention to the RotF figures, been focused on other things. I thought they'd just re-release the first movie one and call it a day. Went into the store just intending to look and not spend any money.

 

Then I saw him, and all I said was, "Son of a bitch."

 

So, $48 later, here I am. He's awesome. Think I may have to do some repainting, though.

The only thing hold me back from picking up Prime ASAP is the suspicion that somewhere down the road he WILL get a more accurate paint job. Those red toes of his drive me nuts.

I just wish he came with a blaster. Swords are nice and all, but I'd like a gun please. I know Jetfire will provide him with two, but still, he needs his gun.

Yeah that's the only thing that I would change about him. Prime needs a gun. I really like the 07 Leader Prime, but this one is more fun to convert (once you realize that you need to pop out the chest panels) and yeah he gets easier every time I transform him. Can't wait to get Jetfire, and Long Haul, and Mixmaster, and Fallen. After I get those, I'm done with the movie line.

I want this figure so bad, taking a trip to TRU tomorrow, and he is a must buy if they have him :)

When I got the first movie leader prime I thought that was as accurate as the transformation can get seeing how complex it was in the movie. Then I get this prime and now I'm thinking 'ok I was wrong, THIS is as accurate as the transformation can get'. But what if I'm wrong again? What if somewhere in their secret vault Hasbro has the designs for the ultimate 99.99% accurate leader prime, and they're just releasing these dumbed-down iterations to make it look like they're actually improving on the design, until the final movie (part 3?) comes out, where they finally release the 'true' leader prime?

 

...just a thought :P

i picked prime and sideswipe up on sat.

 

having been a completionist on the last movie line, i was a bit disapointed with the 07 optimus brick former.

but this one has more than made up for it!

perfect scale, and acurate!

in the movie where prime first meets sam and he transforms, his arms come out of the hood section, pretty much exactly like the toy!

better feet, even surprises with the panels that move slightly on his inner legs and the blue panels covering empty space on the back of his legs.

and decent knee pad guard things!

 

good back transformation, and the panels from his chest that come out to be the cab doors.

im glad of the swords over the stupid big gun from the 07 model.

 

took me about 5 attempts to get him in truck mode, until i realised about the tabs that go into the arms and theres a certain way of doing it.

batteries have been taken out though.

im sick of hearing him.

you don't enjoy being reminded who you're playing with? :tflaugh the whole time I was transforming him I thought he was trying to strike up a conversation, after I replied and he just kept repeating the same thing I came to a conclusion.

 

He's forgotten his name so he must keep reminding himself. Poor felluh, I just want to put him in a straight-jacket and give him a hug :tfsad

Complicated transformation? Sounds like my kind of Transformer. I think I'll buy one this week.
