Random Micromaster question

Recommended Posts

Anyone know if they appeared in any TV series? Obiviously US g1 is out of the question.

I was looking around TFU.info recently and got kind of curious about them. Which spawned this question. lol .. :tflaugh

As far as I know, they have only appeared in Manga.

Victory and Zone.

That is if you count Zone.

Yeah they had a pretty big part in Zone. Er if you can call it that anyway. You have to give it to the little buggers for having the guts to go up against pretty much what amounts to the gestalt teams + trypticon.

I remember they showed a couple of bases plus the battler patrol. Forget which other ones though.

The Micromasters did appear prominently in the G1 Marvel comics and were the forerunners for the Maximal/Predacon Upgrade in Beast Wars (i.e.: reduction in size for fuel conservation - it's why BW Megatron refers to G1 TFs as "archaic Energon guzzlers.")

as others have pointed out Victory had the rescue team teamed up with the human kid and in Zone they formed the bulk of the autobot force

The Micromaster Rescue Team were all regulars in the Transformers: Victory TV series - althought they gave them all Japanese names, and they miscolored Stakeout for some season.

Go to this video and Stakeout joins the cast at about 7:10.

The pilot episode of Transformers: Zone had dozens of Micromaster teams and bases appear, including some Decepticon ones who appeared as Autobots (the Japanese released some of the Decepticon Micromasters as Autobots).

You can watch Zone here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USJq1CvjBDc

The Micromasters did appear in the U.S. in animated form in commercials for the Micromasters. It's funny to see them in G1 style animation shorts.

I remember those old commercials.

I hated Micromasters as a kid. I basicly saw them as the end of the line.

I apreciate them now(mainly the bases) but without a show, those adds were my only TF fix.

I loved Micromasters as a kid (still do :)). As a good proportion of my collection was comprised of more affordable carded Transformers. Boxed Transformers were more of a luxury... and Micromasters gave me a real bang for my buck because with a patrol you'd get four Transformers! It was an awesome way to boost your TF count too (heheh). :D

but without a show, those adds were my only TF fix.

But they did appear in the Marvel Comics (both from the UK and US) - which were always my preferred form of TF canon during G1 anyway.
