ROTF - who here is sick of hearing about it?

Recommended Posts

Kinda the same way, my figures tell a different story then their respective shows. Still, even with something like Animated thats hit or miss is a style that I don't like...

The shows are the there so I watch them. Again that doesn't reflect the life that figure may have on my shelf though.

(Perhaps i should have added its not the movie that bothers me I'm actually looking forward to it i guess its just hasbro forcing us to buy which toys they want us to buy)

When has Hasbro ever forced you to buy a toy? If you don't like a figure, don't buy it. If you don't like an entire line, then don't buy anything from the line. It's not that complicated.

A couple of years ago, I was absolutely dead set against BOTH the movie and Animated. The former was too much of an indictment on my then-myopic sensibilities insofar as TFs go...the latter was too 'kiddie' in my initial assessment.

2 years later, Animated IS my G1, and the movie (which was a mixed bag for me...hated every second and every scene that didn't have a giant robot in it) had some of the coolest robot designs that I had ever seen, which translated well to the toy line---giving me some of the coolest TFs I had and have ever seen.

And it turns out that Michael Bay didn't rape my childhood after all.

With that said, I can't be sick of ROTF...not for one single, solitary second, because the possibility exists that it might just be GOOD, and the designs positively challenge my myopia. Why should TFs in a live-action film look they looked in '84??? The movie, in my opinion, is doing an amazing job of presenting TFs as ALIEN BEINGS assuming disguises to (for the most part, looking at YOU, MEgatron) blend in.

The evolution of the franchise is fascinating to watch.

BULL. SHIT.

I've been waiting for a breath of fresh air, a little down time from awesome Transformers coming out so I could catch up on past series I missed out on (The movie doesn't look like it'll be giving me the downtime I want). If you don't like the new stuff, catch up on the old series.

Besides Sideswipe and OP, most of ROTF stuff looks doesn't look good... imo. I mean cmon, look at Skids and Wheelie... Skids looks more like Wheelie than... Wheelie!

Two words: Biplane Robot.

The Deluxe and above figures have been pretty bad for the most part but the scouts look absolutely awesome. The Legends also look decent this time around, which is a nice change from the first movie.

I don't mind seeing rotf stuff, as I liked the first movie alright, but I still hate, hate, hate the head designs on the movie characters (other than sideswipe)

This is one time where I'll get ALL of the leader figures, as opposed to only getting none.

Prime and Jetfire look AWESOME, and Meg's tank mode looks badass enough to make up for the decent robot mode.

Of course, I'll also be getting Animated Ultra Magnus, too, since I'll be getting a lot of money soon.

The whole roster of TF's I'll definitely be getting:

Movie Leader Prime, Jetfire and Megs.

Movie Voyager Starscream.

All of the Movie Scouts.

Some form of Animated Starscream.

Animated Arcee, Wreckgar, Lugnut and Shockwave and Ultra Magnus.

Universe Inferno.

So at least $350.

I am hoping for a Human Alliance Sideswipe... This concept has a lot of potential...

I STRONGLY recommend Ultra Magnus (godDAMN he rocks), Lugnut, Starscream (the voyager...just pray you don't get one with loose feet or floppy hands!!!) and Inferno.
