I really hope season 3 isnt the end! Well, it's not official yet, but like other people said, its too soon for it to be ending already! I love this show!

Hmm I was just thinking what if they replaced Animated with a show based on the Universe line? Sure it'd be full of G1 characters but if they cross all of the time lines like the Universe line is doing it could be great.

The comparison to Power Rangers is apt, but for all the wrong reasons. This is the first time TF's has even tried sticking with one continuity for more than once season since BW/BM, not counting AEC which turned into a real clusterfrak. I really wanted to see it continue for that reason alone. Are kids nowadays so impatient that they require constant reboots of everything?

Well apparently, the modern 6-8 year old has the attention span equivalent to that of a Cocker Spaniel's. I guess in order for them to keep tin touch with the target demographic, they have to change constantly. At least :animated is putting effort into it's series, unlike A/E/C.

Simply put, three seasons is usually the capper for any kids' show these days. It has nothing to do with the quality of the show, it's just the speed the business moves with these days.

Besides, a movie-verse show could be in the works. Remember, Animated was conceived as a "backup" in case the first movie failed.

Instead the first movie blew away all expectations, so I can see the powers-that-be wanting to capitalize on its huge momentum by having a tie-in Saturday morning cartoon.

i thought they would have four seasons like G1 did, so that could be a good G1 tribute :hammer

G1 Season 4 was a 3 part/episode story..., and then it was done. Hardly qualifies as a season....

i don't know too much about the G1 seasons any way, like how many seasons did they have exactlly

Also, G1 seasons were like 50 episodes long, so you can't really compare the two. Even if TFA ran for 4 seasons there would still be about half as many episodes as G1.

They had 3 full seasons and one three-episode story that counted as a fourth season.
